A lovely apartment with all mod cons, at 10-minute walk from Termini Station, well linked with the airports and the rest of the city! In a lively and fun district, for a Roman holiday, romantic and out of the pre-tourist routes.
The apartment is located in a typical building of the early twentieth century, in the popular district of San Lorenzo, in the heart of Rome. The apartment is very comfortable and it consists of a spacious living room and fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms at night (one is occupied by me) and a bathroom with tub / shower. Often during the weekend the apartment is empty. in the room, there is also a comfortable sofa bed, so for little money the apartment can accommodate up to 4 people. Accessories included: TV 50 ", heating, air conditioning, internet, washing machine, dryer, iron. Maid and linen change 1 time per week.
My guests, after having taken the keys, can come and go as they wish and use all the amenities of the apartment.
Wifi, TV, kitchen (microwave, fridge), washing machine, hairdryer and safe-box...
Needless to say, you just have to be careful not to disturb the neighbors, myself, to safeguard the security of the home and household appliances.
Regarding the use of air conditioning ask the courtesy to turn it off when you leave the apartment …
Interaction with Guests
Regarding the interaction with the guests, I tend to be very available, at the same time are very attentive to privacy! They are almost always present at the arrival of the guests and available to receive them at any time.
At first I do a short tour of the apartment explaining everything and then are willing to help or suggest when prompted.
The neighborhood is particularly characterized by craft shops and art studios, in the evening it becomes a vibrant center for nightlife. San Lorenzo is in fact one of the centers of attraction of the "movida"and as all the districts frequented is absolutely safe!. There are dozens of pizzerias, bars, Pubs, clubs with live music, restaurants and bars for all tastes and prices! Less than 100 meters from my front door there are 3 large supermarkets and various small supermarket open till late night.
From the apartment is within walking distance of the Colosseum, the Basilica of San Giovanni, Santa Maria Maggiore and many of the major tourist attractions of the city. The apartment is easily accessible by two main railway stations: Termini and Tiburtina, is conveniently connected by bus and metro to the airport (via shuttle bus or train), and the rest of the city.
I have added a map in my photo to see the location.
From Fiumicino I know there are train and fast train, or several shuttles to get to the Termini railway station. (Preferably the train! The cheapest is the shuttle!).
From Ciampino there are lots of shuttles.
The Easiest way to get to my house is walking distance from the Termini station.
It will take 10 -15 minutes
the shortest route is to do not get out of the station but to follow the first track to the end .... at the end there is a gate beyond Which Already you are in my neighborhood San Lorenzo !
Of course if you have much luggage and do not want/can to walk , take a taxi.
In my home you should feel at home and live as in yours! I will give you the key of the apartment and you can come and go and use all the facilities (kitchen, fridge, Wi-Fi, washing machine) whenever you want.
Only three things:
The first is that If I go out of town, to feel comfortable when I leave the apartment for a guest, I usually ask to see an identity document or passport.
The second is that because I am a Buddhist, sometimes I'm used to chant "Nam myoho renge kyo". I will do it as quietly as possible, and I will try to do it away from home but every Wednesday evening from 19:00 to 20:30 in the lounge/kitchen will come some fellow believers and will chant together (our meditation). Meanwhile you'll be alowed to do what ever you want in the house except for the lounge/kitchen....or if you want you can join the meeting!
Third, I don't prepare breakfasts!
If we wake up together I will happily offer you a coffee!
Everything was perfect, Leonardo is very friendly, the house is tidy and very clear!
We feel very comfortable!
Our stay in Leonardo's home was great! His house is situated not far from the metro and train station, in a lively neighborhood with all of the facilities you can need around (restaurants, bars, supermarkets...). We just only stayed there two nights but Leonardo gave us all the things we need. The room is perfect for a couple and the apartment is nice (so the building is), just like shown in the photos.
We recommend it!
My wife and I stayed at Leonardo's for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and well kept. The neighborhood was full of locals and we were glad there weren't tons of tourists around. He answered all my questions, suggested some great places to eat, and was very hospitable. It was great to have his knowledge about the area.
Leonardo's house is located at the third floor of a typical 1930 building in a lively neighborhood (San Lorenzo) just outside the ancient walls of Rome, 15 minutes away Rome's main train and metro station (Termini). San Lorenzo is a student neighborhood, home to some hipster cafés, oldschool social centers, bars and restaurants. Although the street might be crowded during weekends (the cheap cocktail café Bar dei Brutti makes it easy), Leonardo's house is very quiet and peaceful, nicely decorated with live walls and terracotta masks. Leonardo makes a nice and friendly host, you'll feel at home at his place. We had coffee together once and he gave us a nice chat and useful tips about restaurants, hostarie and trattorie in and outside the neighborhood. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Leonardo's.
Leonardo was an awesome host.
He gave us a heap of tips for our stay in Rome.
The room was comfortable and we were made to feel very welcome.
Whilst the location of the apartment is pretty close to the main station, we found we weren't completely comfortable making our way around (especially at night). This may have been due to the time of year (new years and surrounding days) but for those traveling alone catching a taxi home would resolve this.
Thanks for a great stay over new years!
Stayed in Leonardo's lovely home for 4 nights & it was a very comfortable stay. Leonardo is a very friendly & nice guy, so it's easy to talk to him. He helped us with our luggage when we arrived & allowed us to wash a small amount of clothes on the 1st day. He also made coffee for us on the morning that he woke up the same time as us.
Location is very good, 10-15 mins walk from Roma Terimi. We walked everywhere in Rome, which is the best advice I can give to anyone going to Rome. The neighborhood also has a number of restaurants & pubs.
One thing to note is to take down or remember his last name (Ottaviani) as the ringer at the front of the apartment doesn't have his first name. We had a bit of trouble arriving at his place because we didn't take it down beforehand. Other than, everything was perfect & we loved our stay in beautiful Rome.

Hi! I would say that I am a very nice person!!! Is not a matter of modesty is a matter of will!!
I mean I try to be an honest, careful, clean, generous and smiling man.
Lots of friends, lots of passions and a wonderfull daughter are my treasures and give me faith on people and life in general.
I work on television productions... editor, operator, author, director.
I'm interested in Art in general: music, books, architecture, painting, sculpture, theater, opera, cookery and CINEMA ( I'am also a clever painter).
I love to meet and know new people, but I'm also able to understand the importance of privacy!!!
I live alone in a very silent and sunny house. I am a smoker, but when I have guests, I avoid smoke outside of my room!
Often in the week-end I go to visit my daughter in Ancona so I leave the appartment.
In the lounge there is also a sofa bed for one or two person, so the house, for few money, could accommodate up to 4 people.
I hope to meet you one day ...and in any case "stay hungry, stay foolish"!!!
