Amazing Studio Across from the Ritz

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Stockton St, San Francisco, CA 94108, United States

The Space

Thanks for checking out my awesome and spacious Nob Hill studio apartment.

Experience San Francisco like the most fortunate locals do, and enjoy your stay in a charming and excellently placed open cul-de-sac directly across the street from the Ritz Carlton Hotel and within two blocks of other world class hotels including the famous Fairmont, Huntington, Mark Hopkins and Stanford Court Hotels. The California Street cable car line literally stops right at the corner, and the Powell-Hyde cable car stops just a block away. Historic Chinatown, North Beach, Union Square and the Financial District are all just steps away.

If you’re here for business, the Moscone Convention Center is an easy 15 minute downhill walk through Union Square away; alternatively the 30/45 bus lines stop a block away and can take you there in about the same amount of time.

I just finished setting everything up in this apartment home so everything is brand new and impeccably clean, and it’s in a classic San Francisco building with tons of traditional character and charm. It’s a very roomy space for the solo business traveller or can serve as a really comfortable urban retreat for the sightseeing couple, with a small sofa that can serve as an additional sleeping space for a third guest if necessary. The unit is in the back of the building and faces a small backyard garden away from the street, so it is very private and quiet despite its central city location. My place is fully furnished with all the comforts of home, including fresh linens and towels.

Indulge in some of the City’s most fabulous dining and exciting nightlife, all within a couple blocks’ reach! Being surrounded by so many delicious and affordable dining options (truly impressive feasts can be found in nearby Chinatown or North Beach for less than it would cost to venture to the grocery store and prepare a home cooked meal) I rarely find myself eating at home, but if you choose to the kitchen features full cooking amenities with basic cookware and dishes/flatware, microwave and coffee maker.

Amenities:
• Entire fully furnished apartment home for your stay
• Quiet garden view suite in classic elevator building
• Fresh linens and towels
• Toiletries and hairdryer provided, just bring your toothbrush!
• High speed cable internet with Wi-Fi
• Flat screen TV with premium HD cable service
• Full/double size bed
• Memory foam mattress
• Sofa
• Table and chairs
• Huge walk-in closet and dresser space to unpack your clothes
• Full kitchen with basic cookware, dishes and flatware
• Coin-op laundry in building
• Numerous laundromats and dry-cleaners within a couple blocks’ radius
• Numerous convenience stores within a couple blocks’ radius

Since this is my own second home and I’d like to stay here for a while, I’d like to kindly ask you to be mindful of my neighbors and apartment during your stay—NO parties, pets or smoking will be tolerated inside my home, so if these are your intentions please look elsewhere.

I personally love the convenience and exciting location of this spectacular Nob Hill retreat, and I hope for the opportunity to share the experience with you during your visit to San Francisco. I’m a third generation San Franciscan, and during your stay I’ll gladly provide personalized recommendations toward the best in local dining and activities—all the best stuff that you won’t find in guidebooks—to truly enrich your visit and leave your heart in San Francisco!

If this sounds like an ideal arrangement for you, please contact me so we could get to know each other and discuss availability/logistics; tell me a little about yourself and what’s sparked your visit to SF. I look forward to meeting and hosting you during your visit.

  • My family and I stayed in Austin's apartment for 2 nights and really loved it. It is superbly located in SF - cable car stops right outside the apartment and it is within walking distance of Union Square (although the walk back is quite steep!).

Austin was really accommodating with our additional requests and even carried our luggage up the stairs and ordered us some pizza when we arrived at 11pm.

Thanks Austin for a great time! I can really recommend this apartment!

  • Austin was an excellent host: very communicative and wanted to be sure that we had everything that we needed. The apartment had all the basics covered, was clean, and in a very convenient location. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for accommodations in the Chinatown or Financial District areas. Thanks, Austin!

  • It was a great apartment and awesome service!
I rented for two weeks because I needed a place to crash until I find my own place in SF (moved for work)

The apartment was so cool and in such a great neighborhood that I ended up getting an apartment right next to it! The apartment is next to Ritz Carlton hotel!

It was equipped with everything, including a steamer thing for ironing your clothes. I was very impressed!

Austin was great as well. Even though we didn't interact too much, he was amazing accommodating my arrival and departure times. I didn't know exactly when will I arrive but he made sure to be available whenever it was good for me.

All in all - a true gem

  • Had a great stay at Austin's place.
Apartment is well located close to Chinatown and place was clean.
Will come back any time !

  • Unbeatable location in the heart of SF!

Austin is a great communicator and very accommodating (in every sense!) Our flight out wasn't until late so he kindly let us stay in the apartment until 6pm; it would have been so hard trying to manage the day with all our bags so it was much appreciated.

The apartment was spotlessly clean and well stock with towels, linens, toiletries etc. The apartment is a little sparse, I think a big rug and a bit more art on the wall would warm the place up nicely but it's comfortable and spacious and has a walk-in wardrobe I wish I could bring home!

The area is superb with Chinatown proper on one side, touristy Chinatown on another and Union Square a short walk downhill. The apartment is well serviced by cable cars and buses and we also braved the hills a few times as the apartment is in a very walkable location.

    Thanks and cheers Austin.

  • Austin was not only very accommodate with my arrival and really helpful to explain me the key functions of his place but he made sure my stay would be perfect... he is a wonderful host.
The apartment is excellent and as described in add. Excellent location between chinatown and downtown, I recommend this address

  • The studio was exactly as advertised. Austin took care of everything and the studio was very clean. I was able to spend all my focus on my work while in town. Thanks!

    November 2013
  • This was my first time using AirBnb, and Austin made it a super easy experience! He actually was out of town, but his assistant Yolanda was great about meeting us at the apartment, and she actually was able to meet us a half hour earlier since we arrived in the city earlier than planned. The apartment was very clean, fully stocked with extra toilet paper, towels, shampoo/conditioner, etc. The location was great, a short taxi ride to pretty much anywhere in the city. Austin recommended the Sutter Stockton Garage for parking, which I parked in for the weekend and was an easy 7/10 min walk from the apartment. Thanks again Austin!

About
What's up Airbnb'ers, I'm a third generation San Franciscan, and I happily returned to this great city in 2011 after nine years living/working/studying in New York City, Hong Kong and Southern California and as much travelling/backpacking that I could afford around China, Southeast Asia and Western Europe. My day job is in the finance industry, and I'm a huge fan of travelling, eating delicious local food, snowboarding, golf and poker, among many other hobbies. I love the philosophy behind Airbnb's peer-to-peer home-sharing model, and the Airbnb experience has been a lot of fun so far. I'm excited to serve as your host during your visit to San Francisco, and I hope your stay here empowers you to experience all the magic this city has to offer. I also look forward to meeting many of you and maybe even experiencing life in your city some day as well! Happy Travels, Austin
