About this listing
Thanks for checking out my awesome and spacious Nob Hill studio apartment.
Experience San Francisco like the most fortunate locals do, and enjoy your stay in a charming and excellently placed open cul-de-sac directly across the street from the Ritz Carlton Hotel and within two blocks of other world class hotels including the famous Fairmont, Huntington, Mark Hopkins and Stanford Court Hotels. The California Street cable car line literally stops right at the corner, and the Powell-Hyde cable car stops just a block away. Historic Chinatown, North Beach, Union Square and the Financial District are all just steps away.
If you’re here for business, the Moscone Convention Center is an easy 15 minute downhill walk through Union Square away; alternatively the 30/45 bus lines stop a block away and can take you there in about the same amount of time.
I just finished setting everything up in this apartment home so everything is brand new and impeccably clean, and it’s in a classic San Francisco building with tons of traditional character and charm. It’s a very roomy space for the solo business traveller or can serve as a really comfortable urban retreat for the sightseeing couple, with a small sofa that can serve as an additional sleeping space for a third guest if necessary. The unit is in the back of the building and faces a small backyard garden away from the street, so it is very private and quiet despite its central city location. My place is fully furnished with all the comforts of home, including fresh linens and towels.
Indulge in some of the City’s most fabulous dining and exciting nightlife, all within a couple blocks’ reach! Being surrounded by so many delicious and affordable dining options (truly impressive feasts can be found in nearby Chinatown or North Beach for less than it would cost to venture to the grocery store and prepare a home cooked meal) I rarely find myself eating at home, but if you choose to the kitchen features full cooking amenities with basic cookware and dishes/flatware, microwave and coffee maker.
• Entire fully furnished apartment home for your stay
• Quiet garden view suite in classic elevator building
• Fresh linens and towels
• Toiletries and hairdryer provided, just bring your toothbrush!
• High speed cable internet with Wi-Fi
• Flat screen TV with premium HD cable service
• Full/double size bed
• Memory foam mattress
• Table and chairs
• Huge walk-in closet and dresser space to unpack your clothes
• Full kitchen with basic cookware, dishes and flatware
• Coin-op laundry in building
• Numerous laundromats and dry-cleaners within a couple blocks’ radius
• Numerous convenience stores within a couple blocks’ radius
Since this is my own second home and I’d like to stay here for a while, I’d like to kindly ask you to be mindful of my neighbors and apartment during your stay—NO parties, pets or smoking will be tolerated inside my home, so if these are your intentions please look elsewhere.
I personally love the convenience and exciting location of this spectacular Nob Hill retreat, and I hope for the opportunity to share the experience with you during your visit to San Francisco. I’m a third generation San Franciscan, and during your stay I’ll gladly provide personalized recommendations toward the best in local dining and activities—all the best stuff that you won’t find in guidebooks—to truly enrich your visit and leave your heart in San Francisco!
If this sounds like an ideal arrangement for you, please contact me so we could get to know each other and discuss availability/logistics; tell me a little about yourself and what’s sparked your visit to SF. I look forward to meeting and hosting you during your visit.
•NO smoking inside my apartment or anywhere on building property.
•NO pets; sorry, they’re not allowed in the building.
•NO parties in the apartment.
Please keep the noise levels low while you’re back home at my place, especially in the evenings; most of my neighbors in the building are professionals who have to wake up very early in the morning for work.
Thank you very much for respecting my house rules!
Great location, central to all your SF attractions. The cable car is right outside your door! The apartment was super clean and had all the comforts of home. The steamer was clutch since we were staying here in between a move from Boston to San Francisco and did not have our iron. Austin thought of everything and was super helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend staying here.
Austin's recommendations about sightseeing and restaurants have made our stay in San Francisco impressive. He really loves and knows the city. His Studio is in an old apartment building, but it's just close to everything and it's a good choice for a short stay.
Austin's place was in a fantastic location. Close to the city centre and most public transport. Lively Chinatown close by meant there was no shortage of places to eat nearby. The area is safe and rather posh. The apartment was spacious and comfortable and Austin was a friendly host available when needed. The apartment was in the basement though it had big windows. The slightly musty flight of stairs down was the only thing that annoyed.
We had a wonderful time staying in Austin's place. It was neat and tidy, and had everything we needed to live like a local for the week. Austin went out of his way to meet us with keys...even after our plane was delayed. He was so friendly and readily available to give suggestions.
The apt was so centrally located to everything. It took just a few minutes and a few blocks to get to union square or to any muni bus route. Definitely buy the muni week long bus pass, that way you can get anywhere in the city so easily. We absolutely loved how accessible everything was from his apt!
Great place, and wonderful host! Definitely hit Austin up if you're looking for a true "live like a local" experience!
Austin was really responsive and friendly. The apartment was nice and in a very convenient location.
Austin was also very accommodative and readily extended the check out time as we had a late afternoon flight out.
Everything was perfect! I and my husband went to a meeting on Moscone Center and the apartment is clean and hás everything you need and it's close to every place you want to go! The neighborhood is safe. We walk to Union Square, to the restaurants in Chinatown and Little Italy and Fisherman's warf. Austin gave us a lot of tips that were very helpful. We loved San Francisco and recommend this apartment! Thank you Austin you are a very kindness host!!!
Austin was such a great host and the place is perfectly located in SF. I arrived a little late and Austin was very easy to work with. The place is clean and had everything I needed for my 3 day work trip. I was able to walk to work in the SOMA region and had several choices for food. I would go back.

About the Host, Austin
What's up Airbnb'ers,
I'm a third generation San Franciscan, and I happily returned to this great city in 2011 after nine years living/working/studying in New York City, Hong Kong and Southern California and as much travelling/backpacking that I could afford around China, Southeast Asia and Western Europe. My day job is in the finance industry, and I'm a huge fan of travelling, eating delicious local food, snowboarding, golf and poker, among many other hobbies.
I love the philosophy behind Airbnb's peer-to-peer home-sharing model, and the Airbnb experience has been a lot of fun so far.
I'm excited to serve as your host during your visit to San Francisco, and I hope your stay here empowers you to experience all the magic this city has to offer. I also look forward to meeting many of you and maybe even experiencing life in your city some day as well!
