About this listing
Very Convenient Location!!! Adorable Vintage Cottage. 3 minute walk from the Oakland City Marta Station. 2 bedooms/1 and 1/2 baths. One bedroom has a Queen bed and the other bedroom has a King bed, both are very comfortable, dressed in quality linens, and have an en-suite sink/vanity. There is also a 2 single bed semi-private sleeping pod enclosed with floor to ceiling curtains. It's a very clean, organized, and tidy 1000 square feet home, with high ceilings, hardwood floors, a gas fireplace, and loads of character. There is a beautiful, upscale kitchen available and a private back deck and huge yard. Pets may be allowed with prior arrangements. A very convenient location halfway between the airport and downtown. This intown working class/lower income neighborhood is the up and coming area of Sylvan Hills. The vibe is inner city mixed with a little bohemian, a great place to stay if you want to experience the real Dirty South and real ATLiens, as it is not on the well worn path of tourists. Please be sure you (and everyone else in your group) are comfortable staying in an inner-city low income neighborhood, as you may encounter some run down and boarded up homes, as well as many pedestrians, as most residents rely on public transportation. Our home is close to the Marta station, which makes it very convenient, but also means there is a good bit of foot traffic, and in spite of the rundown appearance of some of the homes, locals are typically very friendly, welcoming, and eager to help out in times of need.. Great spot for those wanting a convenient place to rest on a layover/connection or needing to get downtown easily for Business/Conventions/Gift Mart/GSU/Ga Tech/GA Dome Event/Midtown/World Congress Center/Philips Arena.
Must arrange check-in time in advance.
No parties or gatherings larger than 10 people unless special permission has been given.
NO SMOKING in the house (cigarettes or anything else)
Tracy has a beautiful home. My children loved the home immediately. It was cozy, very clean and comfortable. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay for our family vacation. We would stay here again.
Staying in this little bungalow was such a treat! My husband and I stayed for a couple of weeks, and we had everything we needed -- including a very well-stocked kitchen (we did a lot of cooking). Everything was really comfy and cozy. Tracy was an amazing host. She made sure we had everything we needed and was always available if we had any questions. She even took the extra time to send us information about parks and walking paths in the neighborhood. My only complaint is that I wish we had more shops a little closer to us, but Marta is within walking distance so that makes everything more accessible. Overall, we enjoyed the area, especially the park that is within walking distance. Thank you Tracy and team for a wonderful stay!
This was my first experience with utilizing someone's personal home as a rental and honestly, it was very nice. The little cottage looked exactly as the pictures showed it to be. The host was gracious and kind and had everything ready for us!! The little neighborhood is in an older section of Atlanta but hasn't lost its charm in any way! It was a great experience and I look forward to using this cottage again for my future visits to Atlanta!!!
The place was very comfortable and clean. Tracy was extremely accommodating and answered all our questions. Thanks Tracy!
We had a great experience, and the home looked exactly like the pictures. Everything was clean, and the home was very spacious.
spent a month in the house.
tracy went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable.
Tracy's stylish cottage offered an unbelievably comfortable stay for a large group of people! The two side beds were a great touch for accommodating more, and the two bedrooms were luxurious! The beds were so comfortable and the rooms themselves were well-organized and clean! We were pleasantly surprised by the stock of cooking supplies in the kitchen. The washer and dryer were also a great touch! The cottage provides a nice getaway from the city, but you do have the accessibility of MARTA to get downtown within 20 minutes! Tracy was an incredibly accommodating host. She was so flexible throughout the booking, check-in, and check-out process! She definitely did her best to make sure our group had a wonderful stay! Will definitely return if given the opportunity!

About the Host, Vintage Bungalow
Easy going, creative types. We like cooking, entertaining, local, organic food, yoga, good wine, lots of good music, art, film, animals, nature, sailing, the ocean, traveling, calm and tranquil spaces, and try to find beauty in all things. We love to have fun and not take life too seriously. We enjoy hosting and meeting new friends from all cultures and backgrounds and don't really follow the mainstream of American culture much at all. We love to buy houses and fix them up. We have quite a few places where we host guests and try to be as accommodating as possible. When staying in a private room, you will be in a room in one of our houses, most likely, there will be a couple of dogs in the house as well, so animal lovers usually love staying with us. Our properties are in lower income neighborhoods where real, local ATLiens live. You won't see many tourists around, mostly, just typical working class folks who love to sit on the front porch and unwind as part of Southern culture. We always say hello to each other in passing, so please be friendly and observe our friendly custom when encountering locals, they will appreciate the gesture. Because we are in a lower income neighborhood, we can offer more upscale accommodations to travelers on a budget. Also, for travelers relying on public transportation, we are on the Marta line conveniently situated halfway between the Airport and downtown. Our rates are very reasonable and not subject to negotiation. Rates, terms, and policies are fixed and applied equally to all guests. We look forward to hosting you one day soon.
