I would thoroughly recommend Lorna's B&B. It is bright and cheerful, cosy and very comfortable. It rained a lot during our stay and the B&B was a great place to hang out when the weather was bad. Our room (the Boat Room) was light and spacious. There is a lovely restaurant with fresh and healthy - and delicious - home cooked food - the fish bake and tagine were both superb and there are also lots of veggie and vegan choices. There is a big garden with a stream and rope swing and my 11 year old daughter had great fun playing outside with some of the other young guests. We also enjoyed live music on the Saturday evening courtesy of Lorna's son Kim and friends. The B&B is very convenient for Dingle, Killarney and Tralee.

We did a road trip throughout Ireland and stayed just one night at Lorna's place. The place has a unique design. Our little dog got along with her two dogs which are friendly and sociable. Breakfast was vegetarian, scones were straight from the oven, fresh made.

This B&B is a total gem. It was even more wonderful than it looked in the listing. A family of four with two teenagers, we arrived tired and hungry (and late) and were greeted with warmth and an amazing pasta dinner. The decor of the house is magical, and the gardens are beautiful. Lorna is a marvelous and gifted host. The staff are gracious and lovely as well. Our stay at this B&B was one of the real highlights of our trip. We enthusiastically recommend it.

I didn't get to stay here because I didn't have time to make it out to Kerry for this visit. I had asked if Lorna could compensate me for any percentage of a refund but didn't get a reply back about it. Pictures of the place and the breakfast look darling. Hope I can stay here or in a place like this next time I visit Ireland.

Response from Lorna:
A last minute cancellation during high season is a total loss for a small bnb as we do not overbook

We were expecting a more intimate setting rather than a small hotel with restaurant. It was not clear that guests would eat in a restaurant.

Response from Lorna:
we have four ensuite rooms a chalet and a couple of gypsy wagonsa beautiful gardens and an unusual home that we share with our guest , my husband and i sleep upstairs in one of the old rooms. There are bins in every bathroom and i am sorry you were unable to find yours, towels and hand towels, offer our guests filtered water herbal teas. You are a lovely lady, but why did you not ask for a glass or a wash cloth, or even the location of the bin. I hope you enjoyed the garden, the mountains and the food, and please come again and enjoy our home.

Our stay at Lorna's place was brief but very memorable. Lorna is incredibly thoughtful. We were greeted with a warm pot of tea upon arrival and ate a delicious breakfast in the morning. You'll feel right at home staying with her!

Lorna's home and restaurant were a lovely place to come home to after a day of exploring. The spread Lorna put out for breakfast was delicious and it was lovely to enjoy it outside in the sun. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the ring of Kerry.
