Very comfortable place and accommodating host.
Great neighborhood and nearby parks
We spent four nights in Madge's apartment. The area is very peaceful and a nice park is nearby. The apartment itself is very quiet and private and was spotlessly clean with a lot of extra sheets and pillows. The washer and dryer were a great plus after 2 weeks on the road. It's an easy 1$ busride to downtown Austin, if you don't want to pay for parking. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Madge since she was out of town, but she provided all information we needed for our stay. Great place if you don't mind being a little off the beaten track!
Madge and her family were very accommodating.
They made us feel quite comfortable.
Madge responded immediately to any request we had.
The apartment and area were very quiet and relaxing.
Wonderful walking trails nearby as well as a supermarket and weekly farmer's market. Also, easy access to a main thoroughfare and interstate.
We spent four nights at Madge's place, had a blast! She was super friendly and accommodating. She also helped us pick out a few unique places to eat in the area!
Madge was a wonderful host. The apartment was super cute, private and very comfortable. We felt right at home for the month we were there and really enjoyed how pretty and walkable the neighborhood is. Madge replenish items we requested promptly and was great to communicate with.
We had a great time! Super value for a festival weekend and we love the area--very centrally located. We travelled with our 2 kids and there was s plenty of room for all of us. Sorry we didn't meet you Madge! We noticed the stickers on the car in the drive and thought we would probably get on well:) Thanks again. Billy
My family and I would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for the incomparable hospitality shown by Madge during our stay at the Darlington Arms. For a couple with two girls, the location was great and it allowed us to do so many things in so little time. The three nights went so quickly and we definitely felt at home. I recommend this cozy, convenient and select secondary suite apartment to anyone who enjoys the personal touch when traveling or simply wants to treat oneself to a temporary home away from home.
