EXPERIENCE ROME IN TRASTEVERE AND DISTRICT NEARBY
The Trastevere neighborhood is full of life day and night: restaurants, taverns with excellent wines, street entertainment, fine libraries with books in foreign languages, delicious artisan shops. It is also the ideal starting point to reach the magnificent historical attractions of the town: from the apartment you can reach walking just 10 minuts Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, starting point for enjoying the nightlife. Thanks to the very central location of the room-studio, you can quickly reach on foot or by bus, the main attractions of art and history such as: Pantheon, San Pietro in Vaticano, Gianicolo, Piazza Venezia, Fontana di Trevi, Colosseo, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza del Popolo, Via del Corso, Piazza Navona, Teatro Marcello, Ghetto ebraico. Furthermore, you can go shopping in the Porta Portese market, the famous flea market (but... you can't find any more the things of the past!!!) which takes place on Sunday and is two minutes far from the appartment. For those who love to discover unusual places of the city, the nearby Monteverde neighborhood (home to many Italian and foreign actors, directors, writers, musicians) reserves interesting surprises as a beautiful park (Villa Sciarra), with botanical garden, just 10 minutes walk from the apartment.
Guests have access to room and private bathroom, fridge inside room, air conditioning inside room, all the welcome comforts that hosts make available inside the room .They have also access anytime to the terrace located in the side of apartment where the hosts/owners live.
Interaction with Guests
Interaction guests/hosts: whenever the guests like (via e-mail, phone, personally during the stay) and whenever the hosts are in (almost always, as Lisa works at home). At the arrival of guests, the hosts give them a sort of mini-guide with advices and a selections of hot spots in town. In the room are available some dictionary (italian-english; italian-french; etc), some guide and historical books about Rome (english or italian).
In the district we love have a slow walking in the narrow roads of Trastevere in the early morning, meeting artisans and to chat with the old genuine local people.
Our home is in the calmest part of Trastevere, even if you can reach the movida area just in 5 minuts walking. Moreover: the "tram" number 8 connects very quickly the area with the most ancient part of the town, the bus 3 and 3B takes 10 minutes to connect to the underground in Piramide and many other buses.
Other Things to Note
It's not a B&B but hosts provide for towels, sheets, hair dryer, first aid kit. Cleaning of room-studio on request only (extra budget); change bedding/towels once weekly; different check in/out time by agreement.
Respect of privacy, common courtesy, respect for the furniture. No smoking except on the terrace.
At the check out guests are required to sign a document-receipt useful for the italian government finance and we use to give to the guest a tax receipt.
We had a great stay at with Lisa & Guido, this accommodation was near to a lovely neighbourhood with character and charm. The room was all that was described and separate from the rest of the apartment. Our hosts were very accommodating and made us feel very welcome.
Dear Lisa and Guido, thank you very, very much for this wonderful stay in Rome. I cannot express my thanks highly enough.
The apartment is beautiful, exceptionally ell located in Trastevere (a great area to explore with many restaurants and bars) which lends itself to exploring Rome on foot or by one of the many very convenient public transport connections. (Bus and tram stop almost directly before the front door).
As well as the fantastic apartment and location, Lisa and Guido were brilliant hosts (certainly the best I've ever come across on Airbnb!). They went out of their way to welcome us, help us and give us advice on sightseeing in Rome and to help us with other things that just make life easier, e.g. Bus tickets and booking taxis. We were so incredibly grateful!!
If I come back to Rome there is no doubt that I would want to stay at Lisa and Guido's place again, I would recommend it to everyone!
Many thanks again Lisa and Guido, we hope to see you again!! All the very best, Natalie
erkundigen. Die Tipps für Essen und Trinken, places to be, vor Ort sind einfach unbezahlbar.
Loved our stay with Lisa and Gudio. Great location and room was as described. Lisa and Gudio where super helpful and very easy to get ahold of. They helped us with getting a real taste of Rome. You get a instant local touch with a classic Italian breakfast. The flat was super clean and you have your own bathroom with plenty of hot water and pressure.
We had a wonderful time at Lisa & Guido.
The room looked exactly as in the pictures, very clean and cosy. Lisa put out some fresh fruit, the little fridge was stocked with some refreshments and there were even some homemade biscuits. These got topped up everyday so it was always fun to get back to the house to discover the new treats. We also got a little coffee and croissant every morning from a nearby coffee bar. Lovely way to start the day.
Lisa & Guido were very welcoming and loved having a chat and hearing about our plans for the day. Guido also took us up on the roof for some amazing views of Rome.
The Trastevere area is fantastic and a great base to discover Rome from. Also very easy to get to and from the airport.
Definitely recommended and if we're ever back in Rome, we'll stop over at Lisa & Guido's again.
We had a very pleasant stay with Lisa. The room is as described in the listing. Very quiet even tho it is very central. Lisa provided a lot of nice touches and we felt very welcome. She also gave us a lot of information about Rome and the best way to get around. The area has plenty of restaurants and little stores to buy fruit etc. Easy access to bus and trams.
We would stay here again if we should get back to Rome.
