Loved loved loved it! The home is very relaxing and the company is great ;-)
Kamala had to leave unexpectedly so I didn't meet her. We communicated easily via email as needed. She left everything out for me and I felt right at home and safe. The home is out in rural Marin and is funky and lovely. I loved watching the deer roam in the orchard next door as well as in Kamalas' garden.
The room itself is smallish but has a table and chest of drawers. A tad cold in the winter but the comforters were snuggly. Just so you know when looking for a place, the bed is a full, and really seemed like a one person bed, it is somewhat short. Perfect for me though. It was comfortable and I slept well. Bathroom connected through a door. I think she may be adding another loft space.
The view is the deck and backyard and I imagine in summer you can leave the door open and hear the lovely waterfall. I had the moon shine in my room in the early morning, it was magical…..
I'd stay there again and I bet all the orchards in the area are gorgeous in the spring!
We very much enjoyed staying in Sebastopol. We only met Kamala for a short time, but she was very nice and helpful. The room was lovely, we especially enjoyed the beautiful garden and the surroundings. The romm was very quiet so we enjoyed a relaxing night there.
We were in Sebastopol for a wedding this weekend, and had a great time staying at Kamala and Pat's house. The room is quiet, private, and comfortable, with its own bathroom. We felt like we could come and go without bothering our hosts (and vice versa). The house is full of beautiful and interesting things to look at, and Pat and Kamala are very warm and engaging. I'm glad we stayed here.
Kamala and Pat's home was a magical respite and a gift of beauty to the eyes. The garden and adjacent orchard view from the room is exquisite. The room is quiet, comfortable, clean and delightful. Both Kamala and Pat were so welcoming and made me feel at home. I was only able to stay one night, but I will be back in the near future for a long stay in their delightful home and garden!
Kamala was warm and welcoming. I sadly spent very little time at her adorable home (arrived in the evening, went to dinner, then left before dawn!). I would love to return to her beautiful, comfortable home. The bed was comfortable and the room and house were very clean. I wanted to stay and enjoy it longer.
Kamala's home is truly idyllic, making the most of the great natural beauty in this area. Unfortunately we were only here for a fleeting one night visit, and were attending a wedding so didn't get a chance to meet Kamala, relax on the deck or go hiking...but we will return! The bed is very comfortable and the private bathroom is nice.
I loved staying with Kamala and Pat! They were very kind and interesting people. The house is beautiful and sunny, and the room looked out onto the most magical garden. I wish I could have stayed longer!
Kamala and Pat were terrific hosts. I got to enjoy their new deck with them. I loved their country setting. I found it very relaxing. We had great conversations and I felt right at home. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. In fact, I am looking forward to it.
Lovely home and garden and orchard view from the bedroom. Ouiet country setting with a great bakery just down the road. The owners made me feel welcome and appreciated and comfortable throughout my stay. I would stay again. Really loved photographing the poppies in the garden. Thanks, Kamala.
