  • Excellent apartment in a great location. Small apartment but perfectly adequate for a couple.

  • Bastien's apartment was fantastic. Great location within Saint-Germain, very close to a few metro stations and well finished. The bedroom kept all street noise out and the bed was very comfy. The bathroom is small but I think that's normal for Paris. Check in / out was straight forward and as per instructions Bastien left us.

  • Communication with Bastien was very good. He writes in perfect English. he was not there to let us in but we found the key and the apartment was tidy.

The good things are the location, which is great for 6th district and the price for the apartment was OK. There were a couple of minor issues which Bastien responded to quickly and politely. The shower is fine with plenty of hot water, but, please Bastien, put a shelf in the shower for shampoo etc. However, the apartment is very noisy being on the first floor with lots of traffic passing by. With no AC on a warm night one has to keep the windows open and earplugs are essential. The bed is a small double and, please Bastien, get a better mattress. It is too hard for a comfortable night's sleep. Also, there is no curtain or blind for the main window. There is a curtain in the sleeping area that runs along the glass partition, but it is not a good place for a curtain. There is enough storage space for a short stay; a ceramic hob and microwave but no cooking utensils that I could see. There are two small chairs in the living area which really need replacing. One has a seat almost at ground level.

If you are really tight for cash then this place is OK, but if you need a little more space, better comfort and some peace and quiet then probably not. In all honesty I cannot recommend this place and will not stay again unless there were improvements as suggested.

  • We really liked the location of this appartment! Contact with Bastien was very good. We did not meet him, but everthing was well organized. Check in and check out was easy. We stayed 3 nights in the appartment. For a short visit to Paris is this a great place to stay.

  • Great location in a nice part of Paris. Close to train stations. Whilst we did not meet Bastien he was prompt with communication and accommodating. Beautiful apartment with view of Saint Sulpice. Highly recommend!

  • This apartment was so cute!!! It was my absolute favorite. Located in an upscale and very safe neighborhood. The bed was extremely comfortable. We truly felt at home. We were greeted with expresso inserts for the coffee machine, towels and cute towel slippers on our bed. It was very cosy. The shower is a comfortable size considering the standard European size. The apartment looks just as it does in the photos. Loved the style!! we didn't meet the host but Bastien was very sweet. He left us detailed instructions upon our arrival and responded very quickly when messaged. I would definitely stay here again!

  • Although I didn't meet Bastien he did check to to see that we had arrived safely.
Exactly as pictured & very tastefully decorated, the apartment is perfect for a short term stay in Paris. The neighbourhood is beautiful. A short walk to the Metro & is surrounded by marvellous restaurants & shops.
My friend & I stayed for 5 days. 1 roll of toilet paper provided for 2 people, 5 day stay seems a bit mean. The neighbourhood is upscale & try as we might, couldn't find anywhere to buy a fresh supply. Host provided directions to a grocery store which neither of us ever found. Bring your own!
A Nespresso machine is pictured here, however only 2 coffee pods were provided which was a bit of a tease for the remaining 4 days! Hardly seemed worth having.
If you are travelling with a friend, be warned that the bathroom is separated from the bedroom by a curtain & not a door.
All this aside I would definitely stay here again.

  • I booked a 5-night stay at Bastien's apartment, but moved out in the middle of the stay. I can't blame it on Bastien though, because he was very helpful and responsive throughout. What's good about the apartment is that the location is wonderful. I've stayed in Paris many many times, and I find the Saint-Sulpice area most accessible, not to mention very pleasant. This was in fact why I picked this apartment in the first place.

However, I had to move out halfway because the apartment is really really small. It works if you're alone, but it is a challenge for two people. I've lived in small apartments in Paris, but this apartment's layout makes living/walking around in the apartment rather unpleasant. There is no door to the toilet - only a flimsy piece of cloth that acts as a barrier. I personally find doorless toilets unhygienic, not to mention unacceptable given that sheer lack of privacy. There is no curtain to the only window in the apartment, and it faces the main street. That means that while it lets in light, it gives one no privacy. There is one glass panel with a door and curtain that separates the bedroom from the "living area", but because the place is so small, closing/opening that door is cumbersome, and it also makes the apartment even smaller than it already is. There are two "couches" - one of them is so old and dirty it feels terrible even just looking at it. There are two kitchen stools - again, both are creaky and old. This means that there is actually no real space to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee. If you have luggage, there's no space to keep them and still have space to walk (and we only had one largish suitcase).

Like I said, it's not Bastien's fault, and I don't blame anyone but myself for the lack of good judgment. For people who don't mind very very tiny living spaces that do not give much privacy, the location itself is wonderful.
