The Space

This newly renovated property is extremely spacious and fantastically laid out. It boasts a modern full size designer kitchen, lounge room with LCD TV, gorgeous bathroom, a uniquely laid out bedroom with walk in his and hers wardrobes and a courtyard to entertain your guests or just simply enjoy some quiet. It has everything needed to cater to your cooking and washing needs.

The open plan kitchen has dining facilities, with a 6 seater dining table and hidden out by the courtyard, you will find a small hidden bathroom (just toilet and sink). The living room has a large fold out bed and can comfortably sleep 2 adults.

The property is between the Vatican and Castel Sant’Angelo, amongst one of Rome’s most affluent and sought after areas. Here you will be surrounded by a plethora of restaurants and bars and one of Rome’s biggest shopping districts, Via Cola di Rienzo.
You can also walk from here to Piazza Navona in 10 minutes. Everything is just a stroll away, including the Vatican museum.

Bus services and Trams are available in the area. Being connected wont be a problem.

You can even get to Santa Severa Beach from here by way of train (40 min).

The Neighborhood

San Pietro- in the shadows of the Basilica you will find this regal area of Rome, amazing restaurants, gelateria's and coffee bars all around you. A short walk away you will also find some great shopping on Via Cola di Rienzo.

The area is generally very safe for both people and cars and the apartment is very quiet.

Getting around

You are walking distance to all the sites Rome has to offer, however there are various taxi stands, bus stops, St Peters Train station and Ottaviano Metro nearby.

  • Alessandro and Dimitri were more than gracious with our check in and enquiring as to how to get around the Vatican area. The apartment was very clean, spacious with a wonderful kitchen fully equipped with everything we needed for a group of four. There are many small but sweat restaurants directly down the street to choose from. We were able to walk to most of the main attractions from this apartment. I highly recommend a stay at this lovely chic little flat. Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy the outside private garden directly attached to the apartment. Wonderful space.

  • Alex’s apartment in Borgo Pio is the perfect location if you are planning to spend time exploring the Vatican. It is on a quintessential Roman street, with shops, restaurants with al fresco dining and (website hidden). Peter’s Square is a five-minute walk from the apartment. The apartment is very comfortable and includes a bedroom, a full kitchen with seating, a bathroom, a living area and a small outdoor patio. There is air conditioning if you need it. We did not meet Alex during our stay, yet he was very responsive to our questions through airbnb.com. We highly recommend at stay at Borgo Pio on your visit to Rome. It was more than we could have hoped for.

  • The apartment in Rome was great. We stayed over a 3-day weekend and its central location near Vatican City was very convenient to getting around Rome. The apartment was clean and had all the amenities needed. Alex was a great host and was gracious to accommodate our arrival due to late plane connections into Rome. His brother, Dimitri, met us at the apartment and gave us the keys. He even recommended a great local restaurant nearby- it was one of our best meals in Rome. Communication with Alex was very easy using Airbnb's email system and phone. We look forward to returning to Rome again.

  • Nice clean place. We liked that the apartment was not filled with private stuff, but still had water in the fridge and a few items for cooking. But honestly who would cook in Rome. Plenty of nice restaurants in the area. Excellent wi-fi :)

  • Alex's apartment is top notch! Eventhough I forgot to email him about our delayed arrival time, he still made the extra effort to check on us and make sure we don't stay outside the apartment than what is needed. Bed is comfortable, kitchen has enough amenities, and location can't be beat! Everything was well within walking distance. I would recommend this apartment to anyone. If you're staying in Rome, this is the place to be!
