- Alex and Dimitri are awesome and super nice. Dimitri met us at the arranged time and showed us everything. Cleaners were still working, but only 10 minutes and we were checked in, no problems.
- The location is great. Walking distance to Vatican City (5-10 minutes). The neighborhood is great, quiet, and lots of local cafes. Grocery is about 4-5 blocks away (5-10 minutes). We had no problems walking a bit north to hail a cab to get to further parts of Rome.
- Air conditioning was good. There is one unit in the main living area and a fan to help circulate the air. We were very comfortable (4 guests).
- Kitchen was not fully equipped. If you plan on cooking, you will need to purchase soap, basic cooking spices, etc.
- Outside WC did not flush while we were there. Not a big issue, as we had no issues sharing one.
Overall, we would definitely stay at this apartment again. The great location and convenience far outweighed the minor negatives. Thanks Alex and Dimitri!
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, well equipped apartment which is located in a beautiful and central area. Check-in and organization and contact were very friendly and open-minded. We definitely can recommend this and would always come back! Thanks to Alessandro and his team!
The place worked out great for me. An American met me to check-in and was very attentive. He gave a lot of inside tips to Rome.
One thing I'm not into is all the add-on fees...I know it's part of the agreement but maybe I'm just not used to it. Ultimately 60 euros for cleaning I felt was kinda high.
Great (email hidden)ere were a few misunderstandings or differences (I figure culturally) in communication with the owner so I can't rate that part 5 stars (at times it felt somehow I was made to feel slightly guilty about something)..not 5 star service b/c I have a lot of experience traveling and living around the world (including with luxury);
But what matters is that everything really worked out all right (oh except that the internet was out the entire time but I understand that it's not directly their fault...it went out in the area).
I do appreciate that an offer was made to make amends, that was great service.
There wasn't a/c in the bedroom but the fan that was brought in helped.
Again, the place and everything really ended up being totally fine.
This is my first airbnb experience so maybe I'm a bit new to this style and just being critical of the details....I hope I wasn't too much of a pain for them. Great place and good job!
The apartment is gorgeous and in a wonderful location. The Vatican is within walking distance and very close to many tasty restaurants.
Our host was out of town, but Dimitri met us very promptly at the location. The apartment was precisely as described. It was clean and comfortable and the location was in excellent proximity to everything we wanted to see both at the Vatican and Rome Center City. In the evening the atmosphere on the cobblestone street was just as one's imagination would have drawn it from sights to sounds and aromas of garlic and sauce.
This apartment is in a great neighbourhood and is only a 5 minute walk to the Vatican. It's a lovely apartment - clean, comfortable and very well equipped (the kitchen was particulalry impressive). Upon arrival we were met by our host who was welcoming and provided us with good information about the the apartment, the neighbourhood and recommendations for restaurants close by.
We would definately book this apartment again if we were planning a trip to Rome!
