This is a truly special apartment. Within walking distance to shopping stores of Quepos downtown, but very well situated, away from the urban noise. It's 10 minutes drive from the beach and all the great restaurants and night life of Manuel Antonio. The roof top terrace is the real selling point, but the overall apartment has a really wonderful, wild feel. We love living here, and I am sure that you will, too.
Fully furnished with kitchenette, cable t.v., hot water and wireless internet included.
Bring your camera, do not miss the opportunity to see the last individuals of this kind of endangered primates, the titis, in their natural habitat. Stop searching further and start taking advantage of best prices in town!
My sister and I just had the pleasure of staying 6 nights at the fabulous El Brunxu apartment. The pictures depict it perfectly and the location cannot be beat (-5 minutes walk to Quepos centre, bars, restaurants etc, 5 minutes bus to Manuel Anotonio beach). The kitchen is sufficient for making meals if you prefer to stay in and the wifi worked great. The rooftop above the apartment was perfect for reading, sunbathing or relaxing. Grettel herself was extremely friendly, informative and attentive as a host. She gave great advice and was prompt to answer any questions we had. We were lucky enough to see monkeys every day that we were there! Such an amazing up close experience for tourists, and for free. Make sure you bring your camera. For an amazing experience on the Pacific side of Costa Rica look no further than Brunxu apartments! Thanks Grettel!
Gretel's home is at the end of a short dirt road. It's quiet and at the base of the hill where the road to Manuel Antonio runs (~10 minute ride to the park and beach). It's also a really short walk to mini markets, the bus station, and local restaurants. On Friday late afternoons, there is also a farmer's market for fresh fruits and small treats by the water (10 minute walk from the apartment). The room has a mini-fridge, perfect for holding a few beers and any leftovers. There are also common useful kitchen appliances like a toaster and microwave. Everything you need for a short or long stay. It's a multistory home with multiple separate units. Our neighbors were also quiet and nice. Gretel was a polite and gracious host. Stay at her place if you're looking for a peaceful and convenient stay!
Upon arrival with my massive amounts of luggage, I was met in the taxi by Carlos and he took all my bags up to the apartment! The property is breathtaking, surrounded by lush trees and nestled against mountain. Grettel met me in the apartment and welcomed me. The apartment is a gorgeous one bedroom with a full kitchen, the water pressure in the shower is great, important for my thick hair! The rooftop terrace was the perfect place to do my morning and night time meditations, surrounded by nature and wildlife. The birds, butterflies, monkeys visited every day. Grettel and Carlos are very non-intrusive hosts. I felt 100% safe, being a single female traveler this too very important for me. The property is close to bus stop to Manuel Antonio beach, Pali and Super Max grocery stores and downtown Quepos. Laundry facilities were a major convenience also. My primary goal was to learn to surf, the location is perfect, a short walk with my surfboard to Quepos waterfront during lowtide and bus to Manuel Antonio beach for high tide was perfection! I will definitely be returning to Quepos in my future and I can definitely see myself staying at Brunxu rentals again.
Grettel was a great host! Highly recommened for anyone looking for an economical, clean, and enjoyful stay in Quepos. Thank you!
