Where you’ll be

Brandon, Vermont, United States

Residential and walkable to downtown. A mix of educators, law enforcement and families on our street. The area was once known as the Brandon Highlands. Out the door and to the right walk down the hill. You will pass a park on your left. Keep walking and you are in the downtown core. There are many shops : don't miss the Home store located upstairs over the bakery. Worth the climb after a delicious sticky bun. The bakery doubles as our wine store; many local cheeses too. Stop by Carr's Gifts: too many wonderful items to choose from. And most certainly visit the Brandon Artists Guild. Cafe Provence is next door-a must for lunch or dinner. Maes is great for breakfast: pancakes are a winner. Hannafords grocery store is downtown and if in Middlebury, the Co-op is open to all and has more of a Whole Foods vibe. Beer lovers will enjoy Red Clover Ale where you can BYOF-(food) a five minute stroll from the house. Some Saturday nights the owner of Sister Wicked Clothing Store hosts open mic shows from 8 till late. It's BYOB-(beverages) and a great way to feel like a local. You'll drive or walk right by en route to the house.

East coast/ West coast hybrid finds home in Brandon, VT with her forever fiance, Russ. We are retired flight attendants who spent three years renovating the 1920's home you see here. We wanted to create a really special place that we would be happy to find filled with art, unique furnishings and some indulgent touches; a gravitational pull toward luxury but always look for a vintage/one of a kind item. Enjoy great restaurants, wine, art, estate sales, films and books. Russ is a golfer and has extra clubs to lend for a round at our local course. People who love to laugh are the best. Smart and quirky a close second. Our hosting style? We live across the road so we do our best to meet you upon arrival, answer any questions you may have/house tour and then respect your privacy.

During your stay
We live right around the corner and across the street; the black and white house set back from the road. (Motorcycle riders are welcome to park their bikes in one of our garages.) The kitchen is well stocked however if in need of anything not provided just text us. (Starter TP, paper towels and laundry detergent supplied.) We are happy to be of help. If we aren't there to greet you, keys will be in the mailbox where you can leave them when you depart. While we try and meet you upon arrival, we respect your privacy for the remainder of your visit. (We have been blocking our calendar two days prior to your arrival.)
