The Space

We invite you to stay in our modern, spacious sun-filled apartment with its very own private balcony.

As the apartment is our home in between guests, its fully furnished with some travel & personal snapshots and little items we've collected along the way locally and overseas. The space has a casual & charming feel and boasts a fully equipped kitchen with everything needed to cook your favorite meal and includes a microwave and dishwasher.

The apartment is generally only available on weekends and/or when away on holidays however I'm more than happy to accommodate more nights to cater for your needs.

A weekend booking is a perfect excuse to travel somewhere else for a few days. While this is not a B&B arrangement, but when the apartment is available for you, you are welcome to share in whatever is in the fridge and/or pantry.

You would have the whole place to yourselves.

Upon arrival there will be plenty of information about local attractions and maps.

Situated on Wellington St, St. Kilda, our gorgeous place makes it easy to explore the cool and unique atmosphere of St. Kilda & Chapel St and its popular hot spots, bars and nightlife. We're also just a quick 15min tram ride from Melbourne’s city limits, its Arts Centre, Southbank, Federation Square, with the tram line making its final stop at Melbourne University.

Everything you need is on your doorstep! Step out, one end of Wellington St you have Fitzroy St with its cafe/restaurants boutique shops, St. Kilda beach, the Sea Baths and its award- winning spa centre, Luna Park & Acland St's speciality cake shops. On the other end you have Chapel St with its eclectic shops, hip cafes and Melbourne's historical Prahran market, where locals love to shop. Heading into the city is also super easy by hopping on tram (64,5) just behind our apartment block.

Our pretty, covered garden balcony with outdoor setting faces Wellington St, and it's a great spot to relax over breakfast or chill with a glass of wine at the end of a big day out.

When you arrive we'll have visitor maps for you to take and explore the city and local areas. They'll give you a birds eye view of local streets, shops, parks, tram lines and other major attractions. We can chat about where to go for a great meal, where to buy a myki card, atm locations the tram lines!

Did I mention it's a 1min walk to the tram stop (trams #64 & #5) just behind our building that gets you into the city limits in 15mins, Southbank & Federation Square, from there it's a short stroll to Rod Laver Arena, home to the Australian Open.

Downstairs, out the front door and to your left is our local corner store/ milk bar/ coffee shop. Just the place to pick up the morning paper and order some great coffee & grab some freshly baked pastries. We find its super handy when we need those last minute essential items.

Albert Park Lake, home to the annual Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix is opposite Fitzroy St, at one end of Wellington St.

On the other end of our street is Alma Park, just over Chapel St, it's where you'll find all the locals out walking their dogs or just relaxing in the sun.

Sensational St Kilda is our home and we love it! We'd like to hear from you, where your travels have taken you, what brings you here and where you're yet to go :)

  • Unfortunately Tony was not available to meet with us so his lovely sister showed us "the ropes". We had a most enjoyable stay. The apartment was very comfortable and well located. An easy walk to The Esplanade and with our own pub behind.... what more could be asked for?!

  • We moved to Australia early Feb and stayed in Tonys apartment for 2 weeks It has everything you needed, it was a big apartment, clean and quiet with lots of sunlight beaming through the windows and onto the balcony. The location is fantastic, with St Kilda, the beach, Prahran, Windsor and Albert Park all within walking distance. The tram stop is also just around for an easy trip into the city centre. Tony was away when we arrived and we met his sister Vivienne who was friendly, welcoming and attentive just what we needed after a tiring 24 hour flight! Tony offered to come and meet us when he return to Melbourne which was greatly appreciated and he was very friendly and offered us great advice to help us settle into our new life in Melbourne! His communication with us during the booking process was great and this continued even after we had left. We stayed in a hotel a couple of nights after leaving the apartment and it was nothing compared to Tonys place and made us wish we could have stayed longer! I would highly recommend staying in his apartment!

We would like to welcome you to Melbourne Australia. Our two grown daughters are a very important part of our life. We all love to travel, discover new cultures and meet people from all walks of life. Like most Melbournians, we adore our home city, its amazing food & coffee, but find ourselves called away to explore the world. Over the past decade fate has taken us to live in the UK and the US, living and working on a gorgeous farm in Princeton NJ, just south of NYC. One of our best-ever stays was through Airbnb, with Steve (in Nice, France), who provided us with real insights and information about his city (through the eyes of a local - as they say). Today we’d like to share our knowledge about our fair city Melbourne and share with you a bit of our local community St. Kilda.
