Everything very accurate, even a bit better than on the pics. The neighbourhood is one of the best in Montréal, right next to the Mont Royal in the famous Plateau and the location of the flat is killer good. You get to feel like a "Montréalian".
Nadine, better known as Neema, is a wonderful artist that keeps a wonderful haven in Montreal.
The location was amazing and beautiful, with the most amazing little places right around the corner and the best park right by the doorstep.
Viewing Montreal from this apartment's perspective, I was tempted to move to Montreal on a more permanent basis - in other words, WONDERFUL.
Being at Nadine's place was a great experience, located just in front of a beautiful park and close to everything! organic food shops and best bagels in town just around the corner, you can also rent a bike just in front of the house, the house was cozy, the bed unbeatable. Nadine was an amazing host, we clicked right away and had the priviledge to hear her sing one of her songs in creolle in the kitchen, thanks Nadine for an amazing stay and see you soon in Spain!
Nadine and her apartment were great!
Nadine was very accommodating of our late arrival into the city, and made sure we had all the info we needed. The listing pictures are very representative of the apartment itself. It has a lot of personality--very Montreal.
Nadine is very welcoming and helpful.
The apartment is perfectly located: it's so nice to walk out to such a great park and it's 4 min away from Schwartz and Main :)
The place feels really homy and it's flows very well.
The shower pressure is amazing!
We had another great stay at Nadine's apartment. The location really can't be beat (if you are there on the Saturday afternoon, walk up into the park to see the "Warriors of the Mountain"!!!). The bed is still super-comfy and the water pressure in the shower rocks.
Nadine was just as wonderful as ever. Highly recommended.
We didn't have the same experience as the previous guest -- didn't see any dog hair and didn't smell any smoke. Sure, the apartment is in an older building, but we love the quirkiness of it!
This listing has 3 things going for it: 1. The location is excellent- it's situated right next to a large park and within walking distance of several attractions and coffee shops, etc. 2. The bed is very comfortable 3. Nadine is a gracious hostess- she emptied some drawers for us to use and left a bowl of fresh fruit on the table.
On the flip side, there are a few things guests should be aware of: 1. The neighbors directly across the hall smoke weed several times a day, so you should not stay here if you're sensitive to pot smoke. The bedroom is somewhat sheltered from this, but it made it nearly impossible to stay in the living area 2. The neighbors also have a dog that barks frequently 3. The owner has a light colored dog, so light colored dog hair is prevalent (it does not smell like "dog" though) 4. It's an older unit with chipped paint and in need of several repairs, so it's not as aesthetically pleasing as some other places you could choose. It's not unsanitary, though.
