I had the pleasure of staying Amanda and Mitch’s place for 6 weeks. It was absolutely perfect for my stay in La Jolla. The location can’t be beat, just a block from the beach in the heart of all the bars/restaurants/shopping that La Jolla’s Prospect Street has to offer. My favorite beach spot was Windansea Beach, just a short bike ride (they offer bikes for you to use) down the road. It’s not overcrowded and has everything you could want for a prefect day at the beach. The roof deck is amazing, and makes for a fun night in with a great view. The house and rooms were perfectly clean and stocked with everything I needed for my stay.
Amanda and Mitch were great hosts. They are a fun, laid back and active couple with great energy, and it was a pleasure to get to know them. They go out of their way to accommodate their guest, even the unreasonably demanding ones (one of which stayed in the unit while I was there). They are also really familiar with the area and give some great tips on the best spots to check out.
I highly recommend staying with Amanda and Mitch, you will be glad you did!
We had an amazing time staying with Amanda and Mitch. La Jolla is absolutely beautiful, and the apartment is located right by the water which makes the rooftop a perfect spot for watching the sunset. Amanda and Mitch were amazing and after staying there for a month, we now consider them our friends. We were so sad to leave after sharing a lot of fun times with them, and we will definitely return for a visit as soon as we get the chance :) I cannot recommend this place enough!
Amanda and Mitch are, without a doubt, two of the nicest, sweetest, most generous, kindest, and funniest people I've ever met. I LOVED staying with them. They have such a goofy sense of humor - and they basically made me believe in the existence of true love again, no joke.
Their place is beautiful - no words or pictures could ever do justice to the roof deck. La Jolla is amazing. If you have a chance, stay here for sure. Parking was also super easy - I only ever had 'trouble' once: I had to drive around the block twice when I got home at 7pm on a Friday. Other than that, I always found a spot within two blocks in about five minutes. Easy as pie!
Amanda and Mitch were great hosts! They are a sweet couple, both very friendly, welcoming and caring. The apartment is very nice and the roof deck offers an amazing view over the ocean! The bed in my nicely decorated room was super comfortable which really made it difficult to stand up in the mornings… The location is perfect: bus 30 is leaving few streets from Prospect Street and brings you north (UCSD campus) and south (Pacific Beach). I definitely recommend this place and would love to stay there again myself!
