Abraham's place was very well-kept and had a very modern feel. We appreciated having our own bathroom. Even though it was a shared space, we had total privacy. His space was a close distance to shops and restaurants as well.
Abe's space is incredible! Lovely huge loft in a safe area. The pictures don't do it justice. The room is large, private, clean, quiet, and at the back of the apartment, which makes it truly feel like your own space. We didn't see much of Abe as he was gone for most of the weekend, but he was quick to respond to any communication and was very friendly. There's street parking outside (definitely best though to take any valuables out of the car/hide them out of plain sight.) It's a quick ride to many great restaurants and sights. Detroit is definitely a must see, and I would gladly stay at Abe's place again.
Abraham's photos just begin to do justice to this attractive flat. The architectural details are fascinating, and the whole place is bright and inviting. Guests have a dedicated bath, a comfy room, and access to the living room and kitchen--the kitchen is wonderful, more than fully equipped should you want to cook. There is ample street parking, and although Abraham's block is not entirely "gentrified," the neighborhood feels safe--we were definitely comfortable coming back as late as midnight. The flat is also close to many Detroit attractions, such as the Motown Museum and the Detroit Institute of Art. We didn't see much of Abraham since he was heading out to a family gathering, and we arrived very late the night before. He was very gracious about our late arrival, and friendly when we saw him briefly the next morning. We'd highly recommend this lovely flat and accommodating host for your visit to Detroit.
Abe has a nice place in a well-located neighborhood for exploring Detroit. He was welcoming and flexible on our arrival, leaving the keys in a lockbox out back. The bedroom was good. Only complaints would be that the apartment was a bit dirty, particularly the bathroom for guests. The bathroom also wasn't private; we shared it with another roommate. Overall, it was good value and we were generally pleased.
Abraham's place was exactly what I needed (and expected) & he did a great job of communicating and providing instructions.
