My hosts Claudia and Livia were fantastic, very helpful and friendly, communications were easy and quick. Fun rooms, great kitchen and bathroom, very clean and charming cortile. The location is great, close to everything, market, bar etc and 15 minutes walk to Vatican. Highly recommended!

The room is large and has a very comfortable bed. The apartment is cozy, clean and comfortable and the terrace is THE perfect spot for after-sightseeing relax. On top of all this, Livia bakes incredibly delicious cakes!

Very nice B&B, nicely decorated, clean rooms, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, quiet street... all very nice and as described in the ad! Excellent location to visit the vatican (walking distance), and close to bus stations. Owners are very welcoming people, gave good advice to visit Rome and were always reachable throughout the stay. Thank you very much Livia and Claudia!

Couldn't have wished for a better airbnb experience - stunning apartment in easy walking distance from the centro storico. Claudia and Livia were fantastic hosts - immediate text/email replies before my arrival and very helpful throughout my stay, not to mention the delicious homemade cookies/cakes for breakfast! Already missing Mammarampa and its beautiful terrace and looking forward to my next visit...

A thoroughly pleasant and wonderful welcome from Claudia's sister Livia who lives in the same compound. Arrived very late at night and this wasn't an issue at all. The organic breakfast was basic, but not really any more than what you'd require for a quick snatch and grab kind of day. I'm sure that if you'd requested non-lactose or soya milk, that would have been provided as they stocked the kind of thing I'd have at home. They supply okay coffee and various sizes of Bialetti so that was a nice surprise. The garden is nice and catches the sun. The decor is a bit crafty mixed with Ikea and a little like someone went a bit wild with the DIY, but it's not unpleasant. Quite sweet, though. And skylights ensure the place is very nice and light. There's a sufficient number of power outlets, towels are provided and there's a hairdryer in the bathroom. The bed is nicely firm, but if you don't like memory foam pillows, say so now. Nice rain shower. Location: You can walk to most places in Rome within half an hour or so. But I don't travel as a tourist so I can't advise on stuff like that. But the place itself is up some stairs off a road so people with mobility issues may find it difficult.

Come fare?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All places have a story behind them. In Rome every corner, every stone can tell you one.
And so it happens that mammarampa has one too and is willing to tell it to you.
Mammarampa was born by three souls, an idea of travel and a movie.

The souls belong to three sisters, roman by birth and by habit, but travelers in turns: cecilia, apparently the wisest, claudia, engineer but you could never guess, and livia, the “little” of the house.

The idea of travel is a shared passion, that has to do with curiosity, desire to learn, pleasure of meeting. And so we thought about the ideal journey that can become “permanent”. How? Through a small activity that gives us the feeling to be always on the move … even if not us but the others are moving!

And from the movie we have the name.... And all goes into place! Before us and before you all, mammarampa’s stairs were climbed by the Italian actress Anna Magnani, in a scene of the famous movie Mamma Roma by Pierpaolo Pasolini.
