I have an extra bedroom for anyone displaced from Hurricane Sandy. I am located in the Fort Greene/Clinton Hill area, very close to all public transit. What I have is a private bedroom with a door and comfortable air mattress that sleeps two. It's not much, but it's warm and friendly in a great neighborhood. Would be suitable for a single person or a couple.
My apartment is undergoing a slight renovation, but it's almost finished. Still working on the living room, waiting on new furniture. It looks okay as is, and is definitely livable, but has a slightly "unfinished" feel at the moment (i.e., no real sofa). It's still quite comfy and spacious.
Lots of shops and restaurants are nearby; I am a few blocks from BAM.
FYI, I have a friendly dog and one cat. I have no TV. I may ask you to walk my dog in exchange for the free room.
I only have one bathroom, but I'm not home a lot so it probably wouldn't bother you to share. Let me know if you need a place to stay temporarily. I would be happy to share with anyone displaced from Sandy through the end of this year.
No smoking, pets okay if we have a conversation about it ahead of time. I have a dog and a cat, so they would all have to get along.
I am pretty easygoing and generous. I have a free extra room to spare in Fort Greene, Brooklyn for anyone displaced by the hurricane. My neighborhood rules and my dog is awesome.
My life motto: difficulties be damned.
