  • My family and I really enjoyed staying here. So much attention to detail, from extra snacks in the cupboard and fridge, to a crib for the baby, to extra toiletries in the bathroom. Truly a great place to stay and you can tell the hosts take great care of the place. They stay in the back, but as other reviewers have mentioned, not intrusive at all and super responsive if you have any questions or need anything.

The neighborhood was perfect too, we took a stroll down to one of the main streets nearby where there was plenty to eat and drink. Very walk-able neighborhood and close to everything.

  • We had just had the most wonderful trip to San Diego, thanks to Rebecca and her amazing house! My husband and I traveled with our 2 kids, ages 5 and 3, so having a clean, welcoming, kid-safe/appropriate space was very important. This house was all that and more (so much that, 5 days after leaving, my daughter is still asking to go back to our "San Diego house"! The house was perfect: 1 bedroom for us, 1 bedroom for the kids, a very cool and clean bathroom, and a kitchen full of everything we needed to make great meals at home (not only pots and pans, but also necessities like salt, spices and extras like granola bars). The porch was great, the front yard was beautiful, and the street is very calm and quiet with no thru traffic. Lots of great places to go within driving/walking distance. It was a perfect place to enjoy San Diego. Finally, Rebecca was a really wonderful host - very kind and prompt to answer questions. She and Katherine were also great with our kids. Can't recommend this rental highly enough!

  • The house was clean and the garden was neat and tidy. The neighborhood is quiet and near some excellent restaurants on University Avenue. Rebecca is a wonderful host and very responsive to emails and texts.

Would live here again, if the need arose.

  • Rebecca's House in San Diego was an awesome home base for our SD trip. We traveled with our 2 children (3yo and 21mnth). Rebecca had provided wonderful kids toys and books, not to mention a crib and high chair. The house was cute and clean and a great location to all our itinerary, (Zoo, LA Jolla Shores, PetCo Park). My son kept wanting to go back to "Our Vacation House" when he got tired. When we come back to San Diego, this will be the first lace we try to stay.

  • We loved our stay at Rebecca and Catherine's. The house was well-furnished, clean, and fully-stocked with everything an out-of-town guest might need, including extra towels, utensils, drinks, food, games, books and DVDs. These items contributed to its homely feeling. The location was close to the mall, restaurants, and downtown. Rebecca and Catherine were very welcoming and we felt we could call on them if we had any questions. We couldn’t ask for better hosts. We will definitely be booking again when we’re in the San Diego area. Highly recommended.

  • Our first experience with airbnb could not have been a better one. Rebecca and Catherine are great hosts and we felt very welcome during our stay. The house was very clean and very well stocked. We had our two kids 2&8 (along with two grandparents) with us and upon arrival a pack & play was already setup for us! Lots of books, games, and movies to entertain them as well. The location is fantastic. Being close to the zoo was important for us. Lots of restaurants within walking distance which was very convenient. This will be at the top of our list the next time we visit SD.

  • We loved this house! We traveled with our two small children and my mom and had such a comfortable stay!! Firstly you couldn't ask for better hosts - very welcoming, kind, and accommodating. Secondly the house was as many people have already said very clean, comfortable, and super well stocked (plus lots of kid stuff yay!). The pictures give you a small glance at what in person is a super sweet cottage with the most lovely garden and front porch to sit on!! Oh and it being so close to Balboa park (not to mention restaurants and bars) was ideal. Would/hopefully will stay here again in a heartbeat!

  • Wonderful!
We walked down to the Gaslamp Quarter and Balboa Park. Car almost never used. Evenings at the front porсh left an unforgettable impression. The area is so quiet that you could hear how flapped nocturnal moths.
The house is clean and cozy. All says about the caring hands of the owners.
There is variety of pleasant things: a set of board games up to carefully prepared snacks in the refrigerator.

    Thanks Rebecca and Catharine!

  • Came in skeptical but left thoroughly impressed!

After being at the zoo all day Monday it was so nice to come back to a cozy, well furnished, CLEAN place to rest and relax. Our kids ages 4 & 5 immediately took to the place. I was worried that it wasn't kid friendly enough but it was perfect! There were many personal touches but ours loved the treats jar the most! Rebecca and Catherine really make you feel like it's home and they have thought of everything from a fully stocked pantry and essentials in the fridge to maps and things to do in the area. They even had extras of things you may have forgotten to pack.
The surrounding areas are also a must experience! Lots of cute shops and wonderful places to eat. If you have time check them out!

We are looking forward to visiting again and booking with them again!
