Our adorable and ultra-private casita offers a restful and cozy environment for late-night crashers or week-long adventures in Nashville. It's a great space, 15 min to downtown. Be yourself, nap your naps, and plan your days exploring our city!
ANNOUNCEMENT - Nashville has just become a Lyft city! What Airbnb is to hotel, Lyft is to taxi! Quick, courteous service at 20% off the cost of local fares AND a fraction of the wait time. Download the app and feel free to ask us any questions!
Cute renovated cabin in West Nashville with two young cool people who can help you find neat things to do in town! Shared bathroom, access to kitchen as needed, open to short midnight road trip crashers or long term guests.
Only 5 miles from downtown, 2 minutes from I-40 (which will take you anywhere you need to go around town), our Casita is just what you're looking for!
The Casita is a Removed 1-room guest house in our backyard with a separate entrance. Well-equipped with heat and a/c. It's still a developing work in progress; the ceiling still needs finishing (hence the low price), but you won't even notice when you step inside. The casita is charming and warm, and will provide the perfect escape for you on your trip to Nashville.
The casita will accommodate 4 guests comfortably: 2 on the full-sized bed and an optional 2 on the futon which folds out into a second full-sized bed. Both mattresses have memory-foam toppers, and are comfortable for short or longer stays. If you have more than 4 in your party, please ask about accommodations; we have an office/guest room in the house which will sleep 1 person on a twin mattress. The charge for the fifth person will be an extra $20 instead of $10.
The casita also has a desk and chair, room to hang clothes, two robes for your use during your stay, and a big window looking out into the backyard. Though there is no bathroom in the casita, you will love the shared bathroom in the main house! It features a beautiful modern pedestal tub, great for long soaks after a day exploring music city!
Want a cup of coffee when you wake up in the morning? Coffee will be provided free of charge! Add a note in your message and we will make arrangements to accommodate you.
For those who have food to store or prepare, the casita has a mini-fridge, a microwave, and a selection of hot teas. For more elaborate cooking, guests will have free use of the main kitchen by request & arrangement (so we don't plan to cook the same night!).
Check out is 10am, check in is 4pm, but we are flexible - just make arrangements at least 24 hours before your stay if you'd like to arrive earlier or stay later.
Free parking with space in enclosed (gated) driveway if you prefer. Dogs welcome; we have two small dogs on the property who do not have access to the casita. Big fenced backyard with firepit and lovely back porch; you're welcome to enjoy a fire outside, or in the fireplace in the living room (make arrangements in advance so we can have firewood for you - we will ask that you chip in $3 for wood).
NEW! Want to take a bike ride? We have 2 bicycles available for your use during your stay, which you can take to one of many awesome restaurants and bars within 2 miles!
A NOTE about our dogs: Our two small dogs are getting older these days (one is 14, one is ~12) and are showing signs of some senility - including occasionally doing their business in inconvenient places, like in the paved driveway in the backyard. While do our best to pick up after them daily, sometimes we get busy or miss a mess. Regrettably some guests have been pretty turned off by this in the past. Know before you come - doggies mean doggie poo!
We look forward to hosting you!
We tend to leave the interaction level up to the guest. If you're a people person who wants to go out or have dinner with us, let's do it! If you need time and space to work or catch up on rest, we will not disturb you.
West Nashville has all the necessities covered (groceries, target/walmart about 6 minutes away), plus great restaurants (try the Wild Hare, the Blue Moon, or the Stone Fox!) and fun thrift shopping on Charlotte Pike if you're into funky and eclectic vintage stuff. Our house is located in a super safe and friendly neighborhood, with an adorable family-friendly park (Charlotte Park) just 2 blocks up the street - great for morning/afternoon walks. Small community grocery store 2 blocks away for last-minute needs.
We had a great time at the casita, soooo close to Broadway and the Country Music Hall of Fame. Charlotte is a generous host, providing us with sightseeing tips and even invoting us to a s'mores gathering with her friends. Thanks a lot! And Lucy (dog): Get better and stay strong, you're a sweetheart!
Charlotte and Abel's place was great - just as advertised and just what we needed on our road trip to get a good night's sleep and explore Nashville. We didn't meet Charlotte but she was super friendly in her emails, and Abel was very helpful and friendly as well (although we were quite beat from a long day and went to bed almost immediately after arriving so we weren't terribly chatty)
Charlotte's place is a good deal for those looking for budget accommodation in Nashville (especially for our group of 4). She was a very friendly host.
Charlotte was a great host. Her casita is super cool and was very warm despite our arrival during a cold spell in Nashville. She's a quick drive to downtown Nashville which was great for our visit. Our arrival time changed and she was very accomodating - meeting us at her place and showing us around. It was the perfect place for our 2 day stay in Nashville - and our dog Sally loved having a fenced in backyard to roam. Thanks Charlotte!
We stayed the weekend in the Casita and it was a great little getaway. Convenient to all the Nashville touristy places if you have a car. Cozy and private, huge comfortable bed. We felt right at home. Charlotte is flexible and kind even though we arrived late and helpful in answering questions about getting around Nashville.
Loved staying at the Cozy Casita! Charlotte made us feel welcome from the moment we got there until the moment we left. She's so smart and sassy, we loved hanging out with her and her friends. We visited during the winter months so we brought an electric blanket for when the temperature dropped during the night and it was perfect! We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!
Attempted cancellation and was denied refund based on a 24 hour policy. I had informed that it did not look as if I could make the trip, but there was no consideration for my inability to make this plan work due to the weather. I do think it Airbnb's resolution program would have provided me a refund, but the owner refused to consider that. I will be offered a $10 night sometime soon at the same location, so I suppose that is the best result I can expect under the circumstances.
Ninamary didn't stay with us due to weather difficulties. She failed to actually cancel the booking, and didn't make me aware of her cancellation until less than 24 hours before the reservation - both of which meant I was unable to book the room that night. Per my cancellation policy (posted on the room description) I did not give her a refund - however I did (though I'm not obligated to) offer her a minimum-cost stay of $10 (Airbnb will not allow me to charge any less) for a future date of her choosing. She is clearly dissatisfied with this offer.
Ninamary seems nice, she just seems to be pretty inexperienced with navigating/understanding the Airbnb system and policies. I will keep my word and host her should she choose to take me up on my offer - which again, I'm not bound to for any reason but because I want her to have a good Airbnb experience.
Charlotte couldnt have been nicer. Great stay all round!
Charlotte was so nice!! The casita was totally cute and very comfortable! They even had a little board posting with suggested things to do/places to eat! Very helpful! Charlotte also have us personal recommendations of places to go, she was really nice and helpful! Only met Abel very briefly but he was also nice. I would definitely recommend staying with them if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Nashville.
The reservation was canceled 75 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
