Other Things to Note
We have cats. We think it's a plus, honestly :) The house is always very clean. But if you don't like pets, are allergic, or have any similar issues, you might want to book somewhere else.
Be polite and respectful. Lock the doors. No smoking if not on the patio (and please clean your own ashtray). Otherwise, anything goes.
We very enjoy stay at Caterina & Francesco’s house, even just two days when we traveled at D.C. The house is far better than the pictures, very clean and warm. The metro station is not too far and a lot of great restaurants and pubs just few walks away. The host is very nice and hospitable. And thank you for the wonderful coffee! Highly recommended, if you don’t mind two little cute cats :)
We enjoyed our stay in Francesco's house. Room is better than the pictures. Clean and warm ( really important), private bathroom is a plus. If you don't mind the cats, I recommend it. Maybe, a bit too pricy, for what they provide. Overall, it was a really good stay! Thanks
I stayed with Caterina & Francesco for 5 weeks while I was transitioning my life from L.A. to D.C. Their home became my safe and welcome retreat from the cold/snowy/windy/rainy streets.
The room is nice and warm and comes with a wide array of books to read, WiFi, a desk for your laptop, a chest of drawers and a closet with hangers. I also had my own bathroom and full access to the kitchen to cook my daily meals. If you find yourself in need of additional entertainment, present Julius & Caesar with an empty box and let their exuberant play delight you.
During their Monday night break-bread-with-your-neighbors dinner party, I meet many interesting people and was able to expand my circle of friends. I was also treated to several magical-musical-moments courtesy of Francesco on the piano and Caterina's fantastic singing :).
I feel very lucky to have stayed with Caterina & Francesco. They helped keep me sane while I was looking for work and an apartment. I highly recommend their home and I look forward to staying in touch with them.
I spent most of my time at an academic conference during the trip, so I stayed out most of the time, but the few times that I saw my hosts, they were absolutely excellent and polite. The house was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the provided breakfast was, while simple, more than enough. Their two cats were also very friendly, but Caterina and Francesco had set up a gate to keep them out of the upstairs area where I stayed - it's completely optional whether you interact with them or not.
Thank you both very much for making my stay in DC easy comfortable, and affordable!
I stayed with Caterina and Francesco for only a few hours...my train to DC was delayed by almost 2 hours and yet they were super understanding. I am really grateful for that. Caterina was available on the phone to give me directions even at the odd hour. The location was extremely convenient given that i had to reach the Washington Convention center. It was a warm comfortable stay for me!
Excelent hosts! We had a great time in DC, Caterina and Francesco were really kind and helpful. Just make you feel at home (and have a great coffee!). Thank you!
Caterina and Francesco were very nice and helpful hosts. Julius and Ceasar are awesome cats :) and also very hospitable.
