About this listing
Another view from main room. Kitchen through door on left, bathroom to the right. (dancer pole no longer up, wah-wah-wah...sorry guys)
Welcome to the most unique, cozy, intimate, quiet, inviting apartment in San Francisco. Nestled in the famous Haight Ashbury district just blocks from Golden Gate Park, your new temporary home away from home is not only surrounded by natural outdoor beauty (as viewed through the many windows which allow plenty of natural, indirect sunlight), it is equally beautiful on the inside. The home is a 1900s Victorian and the neighboring apartments are filled with inviting, trustworthy, quiet, and friendly neighbors.
This studio apartment has a loft bed, which therefore nets the floor space closer to that of a one-bedroom apartment. Equipped with a full bathroom and kitchen and a perfect little office nook, you just might find yourself staying in more often than you had planned.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. San Francisco is one of the World's greatest cities...add to the experience by staying in this incredible one-of-a-kind accommodation.
Oh, and please note: the loft bed is a queen so the bed comfortably fits 2 people. I also have a futon plus its bedding for an additional person. I think the space is comfortable for 2-3 people. I discourage more than 3 due to noise and mess. Please note there is an additional charge for a 4th person of $15/night and you must run it by me first. Thank you!
DISCLAIMER: I have had a couple guests complain that the "dancer pole is no longer at the apartment." If you are booking this place because you see the dancer pole in the photos, I am sorry to say it is no longer up due to liability issues. I have had this posted in the photo descriptions for years, but it seems some are missing the memo there (as some reviews reflect).
NOTE ABOUT PARKING: There is FREE STREET PARKING AVAILABLE but no RESERVED PARKING on the premises. I also see that some of my prior guests have been confused about that, due to their reviews. My neighborhood boasts to be the LAST remaining neighborhood in SF proper that has free street parking instead of a 2-hour limit. Yay! However, if you do drive, note that it is easier to find a spot during the late morning–afternoon than in the evenings/late night. I suggest parking your car for the duration of your stay and using public transit when at all possible. Parking can be quite an expensive headache throughout the city!
Interaction with Guests
I am often not in town when you are staying at The Cozy Loft, but I always ensure you will be able to reach me for help. If I am unreachable, I always make sure you have the number of my apartment manager/cleaner while I'm away.
Please treat my home like you would want someone to treat yours. I have a few of my personal belongings around but tucked away, so please respect the space and my things and don't go through them. I live in an old Victorian home converted into 8 apartments filled with permanent residents. Thus, my place is not well-suited for anyone looking for a "party place" or for large groups. It is a wonderful spot for quiet, respectful guests looking to enjoy the city and party it up OUT THERE, while enjoying a relaxing space to come back home to IN HERE. :) Other than that make yourself at home and enjoy your stay! If you choose to stay, I'll be emailing you a list of things to help make your stay more comfortable.
View from couch of office nook. Plenty of standing room underneath unless you're wicked tall.
My name is Alexa and I moved to San Francisco in March to pursue studies at an Advertising Portfolio School. I am 33 years old, and have spent the last decade as a massage therapist and pole fitness instructor. My boyfriend and his son live back in my hometown of Salt Lake City, so I am back and forth between two homes all the time. I love to perform, I enjoy close bonds with good friends, and I absolutely love trying new restaurants and exploring all types of music and performance arts. I hope you enjoy your visit to San Francisco! Hit me up for any questions you might have!
