Set of two apartments, ideal for groups of friends or families as these two apartments share a private landing.
This apartments is located in a typical old Madrid castizo style building. Each of them has a capacity up to 7 people.
Placed in La Latina quarter, this neighborhood has witnessed thousands of stories, retaining the traditional atmosphere and being nowadays a key place in the city due to the character of its streets, place for tapas and excellent drinks.
La Cava Baja was a former inn and tavern area that gave shelter to the travelers who carried goods to sell in the city markets.
Today, La Cava Baja has turned into a one of the best known streets in the city, famous for its taverns and restaurants as the well-known Casa Lucio, with its popular “Broken Eggs”, which is meeting point of national and international celebrities. It is also a must for the locals after walking around El Rastro market on Sunday mornings.
Meeting the Cava Baja is Almendro Street, a small street to enjoy a delightful stroll around the wonderful Plaza de los Carros. This plaza leads to the Plaza de la Paja, a quiet pedestrian square, away from the bustle but with a nice atmosphere, next to the worth visiting Priíncipe de Anglona Park.
Few meters far walking from the Cava Baja is placed the famous Plaza Mayor and the Market called Mercado de San Miguel, considered "National Cultural Heritage", now offering a high quality gourmet experience.
The apartment 1 has two balconies overlooking the Cava Baja, one in the bedroom and the other one in the living room. It has a sofa bed with a measurement of 1.20 mts. ideal for children. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary items to make you feel at your own house during your stay in Madrid.
The apartment 2 has two rooms, one of them with double bed and no windows, and another one with bunk beds. The kitchen is separated, and there is a living room with a balcony overlooking Cava Baja Street.

My trip was very last minute so Pablo's quick responses and good communication in arranging the booking were much appreciated. The apartment was exactly what I was looking for, somewhere clean, comfortable and cosy to feel at home. The location was perfect: a quiet street in a lively area, a friendly local bar on the doorstep open for coffee and breakfast in the morning before a walk in nearby Retiro Park, some excellent restaurants, tapas bars and shops nearby, and a couple of metro stops a few minutes walk away providing quick access to the other central parts of the city. I certainly hope to stay here again the next time I visit Madrid.
Small but cozy place and very good located in Chueca.
Its a 5th floor without elevator that could be a problem if you have a lot of baggage. We didnt know that the building are under refactions so everytime that we get into the building we had to pass by all the debris and dust. And also during the day was very noisy because of the construction. Eventhough the construction its a good apt, well decorated but not recommended for tall people.
El apartamento estaba limpio y disponia de lo ofrecido.
Muy buena ubicacion.
Muy buena atencion a la llegada.
The apartment was great. Perfect location within easy reach of two metro lines that got us every place we wanted to go. One unsettling thing though marred the experience a bit. Pablo's picture accompanies his listing on AirBandB but that is somewhat misleading because Pablo's rental business owns this apartment. We did not meet Pablo. He told me up front that he would charge me an extra 30 Euros because we arrived from Paris after 5p.m. and "someone" would have to leave her family's new year's eve preparations to meet us. He sent a very nice woman to meet us, an employee, but I have the feeling that the 30 Euros went to Pablo's business and not to the woman who left her family. Pablo's employee presented us with a rental contract, in Spanish, to sign. I flatly refused. The contract was full of 30 Euro penalties should this or that condition not be met during our stay. If Pablo wants to collect the odd thirty pieces of silver for this and that he should mention these things explicitly in his house rules in his AirBandB ad and not attempt to extort a signature on a Spanish language rental contract, presented on arrival, to English speaking renters. This all seems to me to violate the spirit of the whole AirBandB experience.
Location and quirky charm!
This apartment had plenty of room for our family. The layout and the neo-rustic-farm-like furnishings were a bit quirky- but added to the charm. Lots of comfortable space to hang together. The location puts you in the center of everything!!! The Plaza Sol area, La Latina, Plaza Mayor --all at your finger tips. And easy walks to everything else. Even with this great location, the apartment is quiet and safe. The welcome basket of goodies added to the great feeling here.
I went to stay at Pablo's flat for 5 days over NYE with 4 further friends and we were all very satisfied. The apartment is very calm, very secure, very proper and everything is in good condition. For basic cooking there is enough equipment in the kitchen. The heating system works more then well (important if you travel in winter), so does the Wifi. There is a small balcony for smokers towards a pacio. The two double beds are apt for couples who are used to sleeping in one bed, that is one matrace. The small room next to the living room is apt for one person and quite cosy with its own bathroom. The second matrace in that room can be put in one of the other bed rooms upstairs. The location is not super central but very good if you wanna avoid big masses of people but want to stay close to the center nevertheless.
Excelente ubicación. El departamento es muy cómodo y limpio y estuvo acorde a lo publicado. La atención fue excelente por parte del dueño. Realmente recomendable.
