The apartment, located on the second floor of an ancient palace of 1500, is composed of: living room with two single sofa beds and bedroom with double bed in the loft, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with a shower. Two beautiful windows overlooking the famous "Loggia del pesce" in Piazza dei Ciompi and the Florentine hills. The apartment has air conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi.
The Apartment is next to "Ciompi Studio".
Bed linens and towels are provided.
The apartment's location is definitely unique, not only it allows you to reach walking Piazza Santa Croce with its Basilica in 5 minutes, Piazza del Duomo, Piazza della Signoria and the famous Uffizi Gallery in 10 minutes, but it also offers the opportunity to live in one of the most characteristic areas of Florence.
In Piazza dei Ciompi, where the apartment is located, there is the old "flea market" that has always been a destination for those who want to relive the flavors of the past. You can find old furniture, books, records, jewelry, lamps, old photos and postcards of the past. Also in the nearby Piazza Ghiberti (only 3 minutes walk) you can go shopping in the popular market of Sant'Ambrogio: where there are open stalls of fruit and vegetables, inside there is shoals of fresh meat and fish, cheese and food of all kinds. A small restaurant allows you to eat cheaply.
The apartment is easily accessible by public transport (15/20 minutes from Santa Maria Novella Station) and is located at the very beginning of the restricted traffic zone but you can park in a pubblic pay parking just 200 meters away.
Please notice that check-in after 20.30 are not recommended (I have to ask someone to bring you the keys), after 21.30 are not accepted.
Please be respectful with the apartment.
Leave the apartment as you found it: take out the rubbish and put dishes, cutlery and pans where they belong.
Just act like you'd do in your own house (don't leave the windows opened when air conditioned or heating is on, walking with shoes on sofas, leave everything dirty...) :)
Until now I had only good experiences so I'm motivated to offer the best service I can, and this is thanks to people who behaves great!
Excellent location in Firenze for our family of four. Comfortable accommodations, nice kitchen and bathroom space, convenient to a market, bus stop, and restaurants. Air conditioning was appreciated greatly.
Some noise from the street in the evening, apartment is on upper floors that require climbing approx 60 steps, but all was manageable.
We thoroughly enjoyed the 5 days we spent in this apartment. The location is perfect - we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The apartment is spacious and clean with everything we needed. Matteo was friendly and explained all we needed to know and was available for questions or problems - we had an issue with the hot water and Matteo responded immediately and came and fixed it right away. As other reviewers have mentioned, the street outside can get loud at night but we actually really enjoyed the street noise - the best was the few times there were live musicians playing on the corner. I would love to stay there again the next time we're in Florence.
Matteo and Monica were very helpful during our trip to Florence, and we liked the place we stayed in very much. Matteo met us to hand over the keys and explained how things worked there. The apartment was very clean and spacious - the large loft was particularly welcome.
It is very conveniently located - most of Florence can be covered on foot from there, and it is about twenty minutes' walk to Florence's main train station. Santa Maria Novella. That made taking day trips to nearby towns very easy.
The only minor drawback is that the street in front sometimes gets noisy at night, with a lot of people passing through it. However, we experienced no major discomfort on that account. We would certainly try to stay there again if we visited Florence again.
The apartment was spacious and comfortable but not very cosy. Some carpets could have helped to make the environment more pleasant. Sofa covers were not very clean. Bathroom was fine and well equipped. The noise from the piazza was really loud and we could sleep without ear plugs.
This place was everything we expected and wished it to be. It is located in stylish old building in front of flea market and near to non touristy local restaurants. All major sights are close, couple minutes of walk through beautiful streets. The place looks awesome with high wooden ceiling and view from the window on Santa Croce church tower. It was spacious, clean and well equipped with everything and AC helped us in hot days even though the place stays relatively cool even without it. Definitely the place was worth the money and helped us enjoy our time in Florence.
We had a wonderful stay at apartment Ciompi.
The apartment is fabulously located, and all desired locations for visitation are within a comfortable walking distance. There are plenty of restaurants to consider eating at close by to apartment Ciompi. Most attractively, the apartment is very close to the St. Ambrogio food market.
Honestly, we did find that on both Friday and Saturday night during the summer we required earplugs to get the sleep we needed. However, this was not seen a problem for us.
The apartment itself is very clean and comfortable with all that is required to make your stay, be it long or short, pleasant. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a pleasant, functional bathroom. The apartment comfortably accommodates a couple and can sleep up to 4 persons. One double bed and two sofa beds. The large apartment has a set of grand windows which open out onto the street which add to the overall experience of your time in Florence and provide great light.
The hosts of apartment Ciompi are upmost helpful, very kind and generously accomidating.
We would highly recommend staying at apartment Ciompi.
