Recently renewed and fully furnished apartment on the third floor (no elevator available) of a typical 17th century roman building.
It faces by one side the Vatican Dome through the main bedroom windows. And on the other side, through the kitchen and the living room windows, it faces the famous "Passetto", the wall that connects the Vatican to the fortress of Castel Sant' Angelo by which the Pope escaped in the past in case of danger.
It is located just 100 meters far from the Saint Peter's square, in a very typical and old area called "Borgo Pio" where also the Pope Benedictus XVI used to live before his election.
In the area you will find lots of restaurants, bars and all kinds of shops.
The apartment is composed of two bedrooms (of which one is facing the Saint peter's Dome), a living room, small kitchen and a bathroom with a shower.
In about 15 minutes walk you will reach Piazza Navona, Campo di Fiori and Pantheon.
The apartment is easily connected with public transport. There are many bus stops close by and Metro Ottaviano is 15 minutes walking away.
Smoking Not allowed
Towels and bedlinen provided.

Jane's apartment was ideally located for our stay in Rome, as I was working in the Vatican archives and could be there within 5 minutes' walk. Jane was very easy to communicate with, and although I never met her in person, she quickly responded to all my messages and requests. The apartment is well-equipped and spacious. Just a couple things that weren't problems at all for us, but some guests might want to be aware of: the staircase to get to the apartment (which is on the third floor) is quite narrow and steep, and every noise coming from the upstairs apartment is clearly audible in the living room. Like I said, neither of these things bothered us, but I could see how they might not be ideal for some guests.
Jane was very responsive and waited for us though our plane was delayed, the apt was very clean and cosy. View is great and area very convenient to visit main Vatican museums.
The location is fantastic! You can see St. Peter's! Just around the corner. So much to do and see. Local markets, great restaurants, shopping, the Vatican Museums! Need I go on?!
Really nice apartment just around the corner from Vatican City. The pictures from the apartment do not lie :-)
Nice and clean rooms and all you need for a nice holiday in Rome. Very nice neighberhood with lots of restaurants and a backery just around the corner.
We were met at the apartment by a man, whom showed us the apartment and showed us the turist places of Rome on a map :-)
If we come back to Rome we would stay in this apartment again :-)
The apartment was wonderful. The view from the master bedroom of the the Vatican is so beautiful, and the place is so charming and pretty. Definitely recommend.
Had a great experience at Jane's place. It's conveniently located right next to the Varican, which makes for easy arrival from the airport. There's a bus from the airport to the Vatican area that only cost us 6 euro each. From the stop, it was a relatively short walk until we reached the apartment.
The apartment itself was just as depicted and described. There was a leak in the bathroom, which seems to come from above. Jane had it fixed the very next morning.
We had an early flight out of Rome. Jane was kind enough to arrange for a taxi to pick us up from the front of the apartment. At 630 in the morning, this was the best thing ever! Saved us time and hastle. Would definitely recommend Jane's place to others
The place was perfect. It was right outside the Vatican and next to plenty of places to eat and drink. Very clean and beds were comfortable.
