In town for a college game (email hidden) performance at the Fox Theatre, the Tabernacle or the 14th street Playhouse? Rest assured that you will be close to your destination and will have the option of using the public transit system, MARTA. When you return to this 1920's row house, you can spend your evening sitting on the cozy front porch, people watching in a neighborhood where the locals are sure to stop and speak. More interested in privacy? Sit on a bench on the back deck and enjoy the sounds of the birds with a backdrop of city sounds. Up for a quick walk? Take a stroll through the neighborhood and you will find houses dating back to the 19th century including Shotgun houses and Victorian houses. You will definitely work up an appetite after such a stroll. Not interested in visiting one of the restaurants located across the street? There are several restaurants that deliver directly to the front door, even at a late hour.
Are you a festival goer? Do you enjoy major league and college sports? Let your friendly Atlanta native host and hostess know when you make your room reservation, and we will be sure to tell you about the city's exciting events!

PLEASE TAKE NOTE:
This is an old mill town; therefore, the streets are narrow and parking is tight. If you need parking for more than one car, it is imperative that you inquire about other guests being at this location during your stay. There is additional on-street parking, but it is first-come first-served and not necessarily right by the house.

  • Great place to stay for our short stay in ATL. Cabbage town is awesome and has several places to eat and imbibe just steps from the house. Everything was clean and convenient! Melissa was easy to get in touch with. Thanks so much!

  • Awesome hipsteri street in Atlanta, great coffee shops and pubs.
The Apt is big, modern, beautiful and cosy.

This was the first Airbnb that I didn't even got to met the host, the key was waiting for me when I arrived, got in, slept, great A/C (Couldn't find the switch to turn it off..), got out.

    Simple. Book it.

  • My boyfriend and I came up there for a few days vacation, Melissa was an absolute wonderful host in the apartment was adorable! It was perfectly located in Cabbage town; you could get to everything in less than 15 minutes. There is an adorable restaurant and pub directly across the street from the house to both open pretty early and late which ever you need. The apartment and everything we need from fresh towels to cooking utensils, We felt right at home! Checking in and it was a breeze and extremely convenient.

We would definitely stay here again in the future and If you get an opportunity stay here definitely do, you won't regret it. thank you so much we had a wonderful time!!

  • This property was one part of a larger duplex in an inner-city neighborhood that is well on its way to becoming revitalized. Some of the homes in the neighborhood are still in disrepair, but we never felt safety was an issue at all. It did the trick very nicely for my wife, two boys and me. Location was central to most everything we wanted to do in Atlanta. Plenty of room and everything we needed was inside the condo. It met our needs better than a hotel. Only complaint was that the bedroom was on the street side of the house and is literally 8 feet from the road and across street from restaurant, so noise was an issue. Noise has also been an issue at a lot of hotels we have stayed at, so "oh well". Great first experience with airbnb and would stay at this location again.

  • One of the best Airbnb rentals I've experienced. The apartment was even nicer than I expected and was immaculately clean. I didn't know unfinished wooden floors could be so clean! The location is terrific, in a really nice part of Atlanta. Parking was very convenient and felt safe. The apartment has a wonderful little balcony that I thoroughly enjoyed and a very nice, comfortable living space inside. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone traveling to Atlanta.

  • We stayed in Melissa's row house for just one night while traveling from SC to New Orleans. The accommodations were comfortable and the full kitchen a huge plus. We stopped at Trader Joe's on our way in and prepared dinner for ourselves at the property, drank wine and listened to music on the deck. Met the neighbors Jana (who lent is a wine key and gave us a lemon...awesome) and Andy, next door to her) - both were very nice. We met Melissa when she came by to tend to the adjoining unit, very friendly. We went for dessert and drinks/coffee at the nearby cafe (unreal cannoli cheesecake). We went for a nice walk on the first night and a good run with our dog in the morning before we left. Our only complaint - and of no fault of our hosts - was that we and our dog were awoken often by the nightlife outside. I guess we're just getting old and lame. If you're a hard sleeper or you enjoy the nightlife yourself that shouldn't be a problem. Check out "sweet cheatz" for coffee or baked goods! Overall a great experience! And one more thing, everyone is so nice in Atlanta. Or at least Cabbagetown. And we got some awesome pics at the living wall.

  • Melissa's home was fantastic & she was a perfect host. My wife and I had a great time. The home was in a great neighborhood, charming and super clean. We look forward to staying there the next time we are in Atlanta.

  • I didn't get to stay, but Melissa was very understanding and helpful. I plan to book with her the next time I travel to Atlanta.

  • The apartment was delightful to stay in--lots of character in the decorations and very comfortable. The location was comfortable--quiet, but close to things like Little Five Points, which were only a short drive or a nice walk away. There was initially a snafu with the previous guests not leaving the key in the right place, but Melissa rushed right over and everything was squared away within 15 minutes. We had a great time in Atlanta!

About
I'm a high school History teacher at the only high school in Smyrna, Georgia, which also happens to be the school that my teenage son attends. In addition to being a teacher and a mom, I'm also a wife. So obviously, I'm always busy. I absolutely love going to festivals! I also love anything that has to do with history! My husband and I have a goal to start an organization that will focus on assisting inner city youth. Too often, this demographic is falsely incarcerated, and they do not have access to proper legal assistance. Our desire is to start a coalition of professionals who will dedicate pro bono their services to this underrepresented population.
