It was lovely staying in this beautiful accommodation!
We stayed only for 1 night, but it was perfect. Really nice and friendly people. Its harder to find the place at night but the provided directions are very good.
After spending the day at Volcanoes National Park, it was nice to find a shower to get rid of the dirt and stink from hiking and a comfortable bed in which to rest. When I got there Laura and her daughter showed me around and were friendly. Laura's place isn't far from Volcanoes and is a short drive from a number of restaurants, too.
I should point out that even with earplugs I was woken up a number of times during the night by noises from a bunch of animals including dogs, roosters, cows, and birds. I was able to get back to sleep quickly but it was still annoying. Just know that those creatures are part of the surrounding environment.
Laura's place is nice. It's clean; has nice beds, was set up with nice fruit and bread for breakfast, has lots of gardens, and Laura is a good host. The place is an old farm house; not super modern and walls are a little thin, the bathroom is shared by three rooms, but for folks OK with those caveats, the place is perfect. We'd definitely stay again. Be sure to follow her directions for getting there, as the house is at the end of a very narrow unmarked road and GPS alone won't get you there.
I felt very welcome at Laura's house. She is an awesome person with a great family and friends. Thank you for those wonderful two days!
The bedroom was very comfortable and clean, as was the bathroom. The house is well suited as a starting point to visit the Volcanoes National Park.
The driveway is right by the highway but the house is a bit hidden so it was not easy to find after sunset. GPS was not working well, not sure if it was the area or the smog. But Laura came out to find us so we made it there. If going from the volcanoes park, it is on you left and before the elementary school. The room was comfy for two of us and the full equipped kitchen was a big plus. The location is perfect for us after the volcanoes park. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
Laura is the best hostess ever. Her house is very beautiful, sweet and clean. We had a wonderful and quiet night there. She gave us a detailed tour guide about our coming trip. When we got up in the morning, we felt living in nature because of the maple trees around her house. We had an amazing experience here. Nice to meet Laura and her family. Best wishes and happy new year~

About the Host, Laura
We hope you enjoy this place as much as we do. It is a piece of heaven to us and we are grateful to be able to offer time here so that you may experience it as well. Our goal is to eventually be self-sustaining but for now the gardens and views of the mountains will have to do!
