Air Conditioning for those hot summer nights!

The Space

Summer has arrived in Paris the city of lights. The weather is warm and bright with beaming sunlight, perfect for strolling the banks of the Seine. Decorations adorn the streets and the sale season has fill the boutiques with Paris fashion and treasure deals. The air carries a mixture of bright colors, of comforting odors from fresh baked croissants and breads to warm the senses while the smell of chimney smoke presses you onwards toward home where the retreat of a comfy apartment can be a welcome experience of memories to last a life time.

Welcome to Paris-Latin-Quarters, a family townhouse run by Robert Reuter in the heart of the Latin Quarter. Here you will find us, perched on the slopes of St. Genevieve where the Pantheon dominates the hilltop and the bustle of cafe life and academia of the Sorbonne has thrived for centuries.

Decorated in contemporary period complimented with modern amenities and equipped with all the appliances you will need. You'll be received in a manner to make you feel as if you are a part of the city. This apartment measures 420 sq. feet.

High Speed Internet access and wireless ready. Free international phone calls to the US and US cell phones, Canada and 90 other countries including the EU. Cable television with over a dozen language channels, English language channels include CNN, CNBC, BBC, Bloomberg and more. All linens, bath towels, washing machine/dryer, oven with ceramic halogen burners, dish washer, fridge, CD/stereo, shower, hair dryer, iron & board and phone with answering machine included.

Travel deals should be abundant throughout the year, and likely into 2015. A competitive travel market is a boon for travelers, so take advantage of the weak euro while you can! As Paris is the most visited city in the world the 3% downturn in travel might just make your visit a little less crowded and a little more personal.

With 14 years experience in accommodating travelers to the best vacations of their lives, I look forward to making your upcoming trip comfortable and memorable.

Kind regards,
Robert Reuter

Guest Access

There is an interphone/camera at the front door of the townhouse. When you arrive, ring the buzzer and I will come down to greet you and bring your luggage upstairs

Interaction with Guests

I live on-site to take care of the four apartments I rent to travelers and am able to assist you with your day-to-day activities or provide suggestions for any wishes you may have in visiting Paris.

The Neighborhood

Directly downstairs in the building is an organic grocer where you can find everything from fresh fruits and vegetables, milk and eggs, bread and scones to a large selection of teas, juices, elixirs and home remedies.
Across the street is a Mediterranean restaurant (see my online guestbook) called Le Risale. With home made soups and salads, fresh pasta or vegetarian dishes to full hardy meals. Diagonally across the street is a late night grocer for that sweet tooth snack after midnight. Our block is lined with a wholesome baker, homeopath pharmacy, French Deli and Italian Deli. Walk a block further and you will find a fish market on Tues. & Fri, butcher, cheese store, wine store and chocolate shop. Not to mention the variety of French specialty shops with the old fashioned painted glass storefronts that have become historic treasures to be preserved.
On block away in front of the Luxembourg station is the Hotel Luco which serves a full breakfast, as well as Sunday brunch and meals all day long.

Getting around

Conveniently located just one and one half blocks from the Luxembourg RER B Metro station, which serves as a direct link to/from both Charles de Gaulle and Orly Sud airports as well as Gare du Nord train station where the EuroStar arrives from London.
The bus lines 21 & 27 are just two blocks away with bus routes that cross St. Germain to Place St. Michel then connect to the islands and the Louvre on the other side before continuing up to the Opera Garnier and St. Lazar train station for departures to Normandy.

  • The rental experience for Airbnb in Paris met our expectations for what we desired a Paris apartment rental to be. Robert met us at the door as we arrived and was quite thorough about how to operate within his apartment. We found the apartment spacious (after staying in a hotel for a week) and beautiful in it's location. We could walk to many of the places we wanted to go or use public transportation nearby. We would definetly come back to it again if we went to Paris again

  • Wonderful apartment and great location, particularly for a family since it's a short walk to the Jardin du Luxembourg so our daughter got to enjoy the sailboats and carousel. Robert also was very helpful with lots of information about the local scene. We enjoyed our stay very much!

  • The apartment was lovely and just the right size for our family of four. It was close to
the metro and there were a few good places to eat within walking distance. Overall, we had a good experience and would recommend this place to our friends.

  • We had a really nice time in Paris, even the weather forecast was true... and we had more rain then we needed to get wet shoes. Anyway, we liked our walks directly from Roberts house to Panthéon, Jardin du Luxemburg and straight to Tour Eiffel. We walked and walked the whole day. After an exiting day in Paris we took a dinner downtown or in Rue Mouffetard and it was easy to catch the bus number 21 or 27 whicht took us directly to the station Feuillantines around the corner or we took the metro to Luxemburg, which is also just some few 400 m from Roberts house. It was very nice to come home in Roberts little cozy apartment and we felt like real Paris Citizens for a few days. The bakery close to the church in Rue Saint-Jacques was nice to get fresh croissants and baguette in the morning and in the minimarket across the street we bought the rest like milk and (email hidden)w back home we remember the nice long weekend and took a lot of good memories back home. I am sure we will ask to rent Roberts apartment again one day or send some friends. Everything was like expected, arrival and departure was easy, thanks for the warm welcome and the good insider information and recommendations.

  • We have stayed in Robert's superbly located townhouse in the 5th arr. many times and never tire of coming back. We started coming each Spring when our son was a year old. He is now eight and we just returned from another fabulous Paris experience. The townhouse dates from the 1790's with some of the foundation dating from the 7th century.
Robert has restored and decorated the townhouse with exceptional taste and love. Over the years he has accumulated the various necessities one would need to stay comfortably with babies and very young children.
The neighborhood is quiet and very close to the Jardin du Luxembourg.
Robert is perfect host and ambassador for Paris and has always taken care of our needs. He works very hard to keep his apartments a good value for travelers. I highly recommend staying in any of his apartments, as we've tried them all. My only concern is not being able to stay in the future because of its growing popularity!

  • Perfectly situated apartment, very close to the RER B direct from Charles de Gaulle, and around the corner from bus routes 21 & 27 that take you on a scenic drive and up to the Notre Dame and Louvre areas very quickly. Peter was there to greet us, help carry our luggage upstairs, and show us around the apartment, and Robert arrived shortly thereafter to welcome us. They were very friendly and helpful, and also provided a file of lots of useful information - buses, taxis, markets, grocery shop etc. Was also very useful to have a washing machine after several days on the road. Although there is a sofa bed in the lounge, they had also made up a mattress for our small daughter in the bedroom with us if we wished to use it. I would definitely stay there again.

  • I really enjoyed this place. The location was great - just a few minute's walk from the Luxembourg gardens and close to metro/bus stops. The Latin Quarter is also a wonderful neighborhood with great shops and restaurants. The apartment itself was clean, the host was very accommodating, and the building had an interesting history. I would definitely stay here again!

  • We had a wonderful stay in Paris at Roberts place! He is an amazing host that is very attentive to your needs. The apartment was exactly what we had hoped for and the location is amazing...so close to the Lux Gardens and the Metro station. Every kind of food imaginable is available within a short walk from the place. We highly recommend Robert and his apartments should you be looking for a place to stay in the Latin Quarter!!!

  • I stayed in Roberts apartment with my 4 girlfriends and had an amazing experience. Great value apartment that had everything we needed from towels, guidebooks, to kitchen essentials. The apartment is in a great location and neighborhood, very close to a great selection of bakeries, crepe stands, and restaurants and not to far to walk to the other neighborhoods of Paris.
Robert was also very welcoming and helpful, and appears very open to help guests with any needs they might have. Definitely recommend this place to stay!
