The coastal communities of Apalachicola, St. George Island and Eastpoint, the heart of the Forgotten Coast, offer an authentic taste of Florida's Gulf Coast. Experience historic Apalachicola, a quaint small southern town with a strong maritime culture, an eclectic group of locally owned shops and galleries, restaurants which serve fresh local seafood (We own Tamara's Cafe and Tapas Bar (website hidden) and my mom owns Cafe Con Leche). You’ll also find miles of uncrowded pristine beaches just a short drive away. An endless supply of shallow bays and waterways, excellent fishing and acres of National and State forests to explore. (check out (website hidden) if you need to book a fishing trip) Combine all this with some of the finest oysters and seafood in the country and your stay with us is sure to be perfect!
Marisa's place was exactly as described. It was perfect for my weekend stay. The bed was very comfy and I slept well. Nice quiet location and private. Just a couple blocks from the historic district of Apalachicola and a short drive to St. George Island. Although I did not see Marisa during my stay, the apartment was easy to access and had everything I needed. If I was was in the area again, I would consider staying here.
We loved our little Apalachicola cottage. We were close to downtown and could easily jump on our bikes and roam around the quaint streets of this precious neighborhood. The cottage was the perfect size for the two of us and had everything we needed in it.
We enjoyed our time at Marisa's cabin in Apalachicola. There was plenty of room for the three of us and was clean and well stocked. We only meet Marisa briefly since we spent most of our time out and about but she was very nice and accommodating, and everything we needed was taken care of.
As for Apalachicola, it is great! We only spent a few days, but there was plenty to explore between the town itself, the state park, and restaurants. All in all an excellent getaway!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 25th wedding anniversary in paradise! The accommodations were perfectly suited to our needs - private, spacious and fully equipped with everything we might need. When the cable went out due to a network outage, Maria was prompt in addressing the issue. And, of course, we ate at Tamara' s and the Taps Bar as frequently as possible. Everything was perfect!! Thank you!
