Akakies is a magnificent balcony in the Aegean! A beautiful real house, on the side of a hill in southern Paros. In the nature of the island's inland, with breathtaking panoramic views, it can accommodate families or groups of friends who want to share a comfortable, fully equipped home. Within walking distance of dreamy beaches and picturesque villages of the island, it is a wonderful place to disconnect and taste the authentic hospitality of Paros in nature.

The space
The house is very spacious and has many comfortable outdoor spaces with stunning views and a beautiful garden with olive trees and acacias.
The heart of the house beats on the covered terrace, with the built-in living room and the large marble table, where you can enjoy the panoramic view of the Aegean Sea and the enchanting scenery of the horizon all hours of the day. Here you can eat, drink, have fun with your friends or quietly enjoy a book, a lunch nap or a relaxing dinner in the moonlight. The space has a southeast orientation and is protected from the strong north winds. It's worth waking up in the morning to see a sunrise and a dawn you'll never forget. No camera lens can capture the breadth of the view from the terrace. Naxos, Schinoussa, Iraklia, Ios, Sikinos, Folegandros compose an exciting panorama, which sometimes reaches Amorgos and Anafi!

The interiors are developed on two levels (ground floor and first floor) with an internal staircase and are inspired by the traditional architecture of the island. Access to the house (parking and entrance) and the terrace is from the ground floor level. There you will find the kitchen, the dining room, the living room with the fireplace, a bathroom with a shower and a comfortable bedroom with two single beds, which can be joined according to the needs of the guests. A baby crib can also be comfortably accommodated here. All areas of the ground floor are air-conditioned. Upstairs there are two bedrooms with double beds and a bathroom with shower. There is a common air conditioner in the hallway for the whole floor and each bedroom has its own ceiling fan. All rooms have windows overlooking the Aegean Sea and private terraces with magnificent views of the sea and the surrounding hills.
Bright and airy, all the spaces of the house were made with love, a lot of care for every detail, natural materials and colors from the palette of the surrounding nature. The house is ideal for your family and friends, as you can cook together in the fully equipped kitchen, play board games at the large wooden table, relax in the built-in living room with pillows or rest in the comfort of your private bedrooms. In the evening, relax with your drink on the sun loungers of the terrace and gaze at the starry night sky or if you are lucky, see the full moon rising red behind Naxos!

Neighborhood highlights

The house is situated on the top of the settlement called Aspro Chorio in southern Paros. It is part of a small complex of five private country houses which form a small pretty neighbourhood with its own private road enclosed in a lush landscape. Whitewashed houses which spread on the foothills of a small mountain up to the sea, old rural houses and overgrown paths ideal for hiking make our area the most peaceful picturesque holiday settlement with an incredible view to south Aegean.

The nearest place for supplies, food and entertainment in a distance of 6-7 minutes by car is a traditional village called Dryos, where you will find an exceptional mini market, cafes, restaurants, taverns, cocktail bars. More stores, as well as a pharmacy you will find in Marpissa, which is the head settlement of our area, 15 min by car.

As we are approximately in the middle of the road network of Paros, our area is ideal for exploring the island without going long distances.

We are only 5-12 minutes distance by car from the most beautiful beaches of the island.
The nearest beach is “Lolantonis beach” ideal for a morning swim (5 min distance semi-organised ). In a short distance is the beach “Tripiti” where you can relax in the shodow of native trees and dive from the rocks (7 min distance, food and drink supplies as well as beach facilities are not provided). A little further away there is a magical secluded beach with crystal clear water (9 min distance, food and drink are also not provided, access to this beach is via a path) and next to that is a popular beach called “Faraggas” (12 min distance with sunbeds, umbrellas and beach facilities). On the other side there is a family beach in Dryos village (5 min distance semi-organised) with crystal water and seaside restaurants. A little further away is the endless cosmopolitan “Golden beach” (fully organized with many beach bars and facilities) for comfort and wind surfing (12 min distance). Small estuaries are waiting to be discovered by an amazing coastal walk in the area during twighlight.

Our area is ideal for hiking. Setting off on foot from the house following the rural path to Lagada you will meet a landscape beyond your expectations, easily accessible, an ideal route for children, a rejuvanating experience full of colours, smells and fresh air in the authentic cycladic nature.
