Villa Amici was everything we could have hoped for and much, much more! The location amongst the vines was idyllic and a perfect place from which to explore the wineries of both Sonoma and Napa while still being very convenient to everything downtown Healdsburg has to offer. The house was simply amazing, well maintained and ideal for our group of 4. It was also very well appointed and absolutely everything we could have possibly wanted/needed was thought of and provided. We loved having the bocce court, pizza oven, grill, fire pit, and well-supplied kitchen available and found ourselves staying-in to relax rather than wanting to going out to the local restaurants much more often than we had originally planned to.
Donna and Eddie were also awesome, friendly hosts. Very easy to coordinate with and they were even kind enough to share their wine and allowed us to help ourselves to the vegetables in their beautiful garden. It was a perfect stay and we very much hope to have the opportunity to return to Villa Amici some day; thanks for sharing your home with us!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This place is set up with an eye towards entertaining or a relaxing weekend getaway. We arrived to a warm welcome from the owners and then never left the house. Donna and Eddie had everything needed to stay and enjoy the property. We made over 15 pizzas in the outdoor oven and even utilized the grill for hamburgers. Bocci ball and cornhole were entertaining as well. Thank you so much for the wonderful property and quick response from the owners! We will be back next time and plan to enjoy some of the local wineries that are walking distance to the house! Cheers Bob and Liz (San Francisco)
What a delightful weekend at the Villa! Perfect weather, sunsets over the vast Alexander Valley vineyards. I highly recommend taking advantage of the pizza oven. Donna and Ed are extremely welcoming and informative. Wineries in walking distance including Soda Rock and the Medlock Ames. Highly recommended!
We had such an incredible experience staying at the villa. It's a trip we will never forget--from making pizza in the wood fire pizza oven to hanging out in the beautiful back yard soaking up the garden and surrounding vineyards. Charging our Tesla at their home was super convenient!
The beds were amazingly comfortable and the cooking amenities were all there for cooking big meals. We enjoyed our bottle of Villa Del Amici wine, too :)
Donna and Eddie were so generous with their time. We really enjoyed meeting them.
We will certainly be back!!! Next time for longer.
The Tuscan Villa was amazing! Beautiful outdoor space especially for bocce, pizza, entertainment. It is truly magical!
Everything was clean and charming. Donna was so easy to work with, I will definitely be coming back :)
Donna's home is incredible. She met us at the property on arrival and got us comfortable with the house. We got to do a barrel tasting of the wine they produce from the grapes they grow on the property and gave us a bottle as well. The view from the hammock is of a vineyard that stretches to the horizon. The house is surrounded by wineries and are an easy walk - but we found it more enjoyable to gather some local wines and enjoy our time at the house - they have a beautiful property, a wood burning pizza oven, a full size bocce ball court, a killer stereo and privacy to enjoy it all. Great hosts. Great house. Will definitely be back.
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL HOME! My family and I had the exceptional pleasure of staying at the Villa Amici this last weekend and everything down to the towels were immaculate. Her home and grounds were very well manicured, and welcoming. Extraordinary place to entertain which is exactly what we did - from making amazing pizza in the outdoor pizza oven, to an exhausting game of corn hole to boccie ball to fire pits and drinks.
Donna was accessible the entire time, she extended an early arrival to me, as she knew we were driving in from out of town to demanding I do not clean as I was on vacation.
Amazing host, amazing home, amazing grounds and AMAZING views.
I already have plans in coming back soon.
About the Host, Donna
My husband and I bought Villa Amici in 2002 in order to pursue our dream of making wine. The name Villa Amici means 'house of friends' and we have enjoyed sharing this little piece of Tuscany with many of our friends from around the world. Since buying the home, we have added the vineyard, bocce court and pizza oven to enhance the experience. Besides making wine, we enjoy cooking, traveling, fly fishing, discovering new foods and wine.
