This little one bedroom cottage is a perfect spot for your "Caribbean Home" while travelling.
Enjoy the privacy of your own place with full kitchen, yard with fruit trees and flowers and a short walk to the beach and the village as well.
I took this aerial photo in 2007 of Hodges Bay looking north along the coast. Nothing much has changed though !
This cottage is a pretty little one bedroom dwelling.
There are cathedral ceilings and tile floors throughout. The bedroom has a queensize bed and an ensuite 3 piece bathroom.
A complete kitchen setup, dining area and sitting room provide you with ample space to relax in. The balcony looking towards the sea has a small table and chairs for alfresco dining.
All our hot water and electrical power is provided by solar panels as we do try to be aware of the beautiful environment surrounding us.
There is a queen sized bed in the bedroom and a double futon in the living room if extra sleeping space is needed.
This cottage is wired for both 220 and 110 volts and comes with cable TV, cell phone, use of laundry facility and free wifi.
The back of the cottage looks out over the pineapple garden and fruit trees and is shaded by a huge ancient mango tree. The balcony in the front looks out to the sea and islands below.
The fold down futon couch in the living area can be used as a double bed if extra sleeping space is required.
The grounds are planted with flowering shrubs and fruit trees which you are welcome to pick from. Avocado, lime, grapefruit, tangerine, papaya and guava are all available during their seasons.
The path to the beach takes about 5 minutes to follow and when there you will see where the Hodges River flows into the ocean. Clean to swim in , it is perfect for washing the salt off after bathing in the sea.
The village of a kilometre to the begiining and then another kilometre to the end. A friendly village, and you will find several grocery stores, restaurants, churches, snackettes etc. A good place to connect with the local people and find out more about the history and culture of Dominica.

We would hope you would leave the house in reasonable shape. We do have a cleaner (no extra charge), but why make her life any harder than necessary. You are responsible for any serious damages or losses.
If you smoke we ask that you do not smoke inside the house.
A perfect introduction to our first visit to Dominica!
We took an all too brief 3 day side trip to Dominica from Barbados on our recent winter holiday. We looked at a number of places on the web and through airbnb, chose Sea Cliff and were lucky that they had a spot for us. Our host Gwen was wonderful to us, giving great advice before we arrived and throughout our stay. The cottage was comfortable, clean, well set up and had a kitchen with everything a good cook would need. The ocean breezes and views at Sea Cliff will drop your heart rate and blood pressure within a few minutes of being there and the invigorating walks to the ocean or hills will do the rest in keeping you feeling like you are on a healthy holiday!
We will be back; but for longer!
