Beautiful apartment! I would move in in a heart beat. The rooms are really nicely decorated and perfectly equipped with all you need. The Jacuzzi was awesome, as well as the whirlpool in the upper bath room. But let me go on to the best room EVER: The bedroom...the bedroom!! Just the view, when you wake up in the morning.....speechless! Beautiful!
Ivan was also very helpful, gave tips, responded super quickly and left us some bananas and muffins ( super delicious; even though I'm not a big fan of sweets:)), which we had on the bed room terrace with our morning coffee... Perfect stay!
Thank you so much Ivan!
This place is phenomenal! ivan has a reallt beautiful home. We had such an amazing time. We actually didnt want to leave. It was so nice to sit in the jacuzzi and listen to music. The town of Swampscott is so beautiful as well, we loved walking around and were lucky to have great weather.
Warm and cozy place with great views. The wife an I couldn't get enough of the bedroom deck. We even left the door cracked to fall asleep to the sounds of the water. Will look ivan up again if we are going anywhere near Swampscott
We loved our time in swampscott and at the place! We ate breakfast everyday at Newman's bakery, best bagels ever! Anthony's pier 4 was great for a fancy dinner. The hot tub was romantic and the spot was both private and close to everything! Perfect spot for a trip to Boston and Salem. If we are ever back this way we will for sure stay with Ivan again! He was both helpful when we needed it and nonexisitant when we wanted privacy. Such a perfect host! Pictures do not do this place justice it was just so so lovely.
This is a very comfortable apartment with wonderful views over the bay and ocean. The apartment comfortably furnished, is fully equipped and stocked up with all essentials, including books, CDs and DVDs - all ready to walk in and start living. the instructions were clear and concise. The location is great - there are restaurants, convenience ships and take-aways in walking distance, with supermarkets a short drive away. Short walk to Swampscott Station for commuter trains to Boston.
Our stay at Ivan's apartment was lovely—the perfect romantic getaway for a night! The apartment was so cute, and Ivan left us juice, muffins, and bananas. Honestly, this is somewhere I would want to live in the future. We didn't get a chance to use many of the amenities, but his music collection was very impressive. We just wish that we had come at a warmer time so that we could have made use of the outdoor hot tub and gone down to the beach!
Like many other reviewers said, the pictures truly do not do the house justice - it was cozy and wonderfully decorated, and has everything you'd need for an idyllic getaway. Swampscott is a very quaint and quiet town, and so is really quite a nice break for the city-dweller. Waking up to a view of the sea was quite a treat.
There are a few shops and restaurants within walking distance, but Boston is really just half an hour away on the MBTA. There is a jacuzzi in the bathroom and a hot tub on the balcony, both of which were wonderful especially at this time of the year. The kitchen also had all the necessary utensils, pots, pans, and even had some baking tools (loaf pan, measuring cups, muffin tin, etc), and we managed to get some cooking done.
Ivan's house that gives you the experience of a secluded getaway without actually being too far-out or inconvenient to get to. Would highly recommend!
