Excellent place, great host, perfect location as everything is in close vicinity. We stayed as family with one infant & one child and everything was perfect including kitchen. Very helpful support staff Mr. Kanhayia.

This is an amazing historical building in the British style, with well-staged period furniture. You felt you were stepping back in time at the entrance with the majestic staircase, tall ceilings ( 14 ft), gigantic rooms and well-placed pictures and decorations. It was very comfortable and quiet. There were plenty of drinking water, a refrigerator, and amenities of a kitchen. Most of all, Amritendu was a kind host, very flexible and accommodating where he extended our stay way past the normal check out time. He was there to welcome us and explain the history and construction of the building. I will be back next time with my kids to enjoy the walk back in history and hope to chat more with the host.

A peek into the old world Kolkata with high ceilings and large windows. Decor is a bit tired but this is the general vibe in the whole city. Good location with apartment at the back of the property giving some respite to honking horns. Would only need a few thing remedied to make this a really lovely and unique stay.

This studio is unique, full of character and charm, exactly as it looks on the pictures. It is huge (more than 40 square meters), beautifully decorated with old furnitures and pleasant, with four large windows, light and view on old green trees and yard. My wife and I, we spent one month there and much enjoyed its peaceful atmosphere after walking in the noisy and congested streets of Kolkata. ‌ We recommend this place and will come back if we return. It is extremely well located in the town center with all shops, Maïdan and Victoria Memorial, cultural center and gardens. Amritendu and his wife were kind, discreet and very willing to help. Many thanks to them

It's a very unique place with old world charm. Room is huge with all amenities provided by the host from tv, cable network, high-speed wifi, fridge, Geyser, kitchen with all utensils and gas. It also has a three seater dining table. This house reminded me of tea garden bungalows in Assam that were built during the colonial era. Amritendu's house still has that glamour. It's located in the heart of Kolkata and walkable distance to all places in central Kolkata. Very nice!
