Comfy double bedroom, in spacious, stylish traditional terrace house, lots of original features, open fire, great location, short walk to city centre, parks and shops. As an experienced host I am friendly, relaxed & very knowledgeable about Belfast.
Double room in a two bedroom 1900's traditional Belfast terrace house - In good order with lots of nice original features including open fire. In East Belfast ( Ravenhill Road area ), nice quiet street, but only 20min walk to city center, 10min walk to central train station, right near shops, right beside Ormeau Park, great shopping for food and locally made gifts at St. Georges Market opposite the central train station. 10 min taxi from city airport - only £6 or £7.
I am out a lot at gigs, theater and the pub, and work in the arts in Belfast, so will be able to point you in the right direction of Belfast's good nightlife and things that might not appear in the guide books.
There is free hi-speed wi-fi, washing machine, hair dryer, gas fired central heating and open log fire. Fresh towels etc provided, free to use the kitchen to cook, help your self to breakfast cereals, tea, coffee, fruit, juice etc.
Guests will have their own key, and free access to the house for their stay, there is a large bathroom, shared only with myself, guests are welcome to use the well equipped kitchen to prepare meals, breakfast cereals tea/coffee etc are provided, guests are also welcome to use the living area to hangout, listen to music, eat, watch a movie.
Interaction with Guests
I will welcome guests on arrival usually with a cup of tea, and happy give any advice on what to do and see in Belfast, I have good insider info on music, theatre and arts events that are happening in the city.
I am also a keen cyclist and would be more than happy to help organise bike hire and if I have time happy to show guests some great cycle routes for all levels ( many of which have great pubs and cafes at the half way point )
The area is a quiet neighbourhood, but with a great park only 2 mins walk away and the city centre with all it has to offer with night life, shopping and restaurants only 15-20 mins walk or a cheap taxi ride. There is a mini supermarket just around the corner, which stocks all you would need for a short stay.
You can walk into the city centre in just 15/20 mins, or there is the 6A bus from the Woodstock Road, but the bus service in Belfast in general is not great. Taxi's are cheap at only £5 to the city centre. I personally prefer to cycle.
House rules are fairly relaxed - treat the place as you would your own, use what you like in the kitchen but as you would expect leave it as you found it. Thats it really, you will have your own keys, so come and go as you please, if you need anything just ask.
Unfortunately I was ill and couldn't make it but Stuart very kindly said I could come another time free of charge.
My boyfriend and I stayed with Stuart for 2 nights when we arrived in Belfast. This was our first airbnb experience, so we were not exactly sure what to expect. Stuart was very friendly and welcoming. He offered us tea/coffee when we arrived and we sat down and had a nice chat with him about the area and places that he would recommend. Stuart was very helpful and what his listing stated was exactly what we had received when we arrived. We would definitely recommend anyone travelling to Belfast to stay with Stuart!
A very good experience there in Belfast,
Stuart was really open to us even if we did not have a lot of time to spend at his place together, we really had the feeling to be in welcoming place and evrything was ready for us, even the little breakfast before to go and explore Northern Ireland.
I whish him to continue like that. A perfect host.
Stuart was very friendly and helpful and the location was wonderful. Would come here again.
Stuart was a helpful and hospitable host. His apartment was clean, easily accessible and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
This is my first time for guesthouse and it was fantastic to me. He was very nice and welcome us to his home. It was so convince and comfortable enough for taking a rest after our whole day trip.
If someone ask me about guesthouse in Belfast, I would recommend this one to them.
appartement très proche du centre ville et accessible à pied, c'est un bon point, et le petit thé à l'arrivée était bienvenu!
tout était propre, et l'accès libre à la cuisine et au petit déjeuner : super!
