We shad a great time staying at Bobo Vintage apartment for twelve days! The location is great - just a block away from the Vatican museum entrance but on the quiet non-touristic street. Metro is in 5 minutes walk but we almost never used it preferring to walk around. All central parts of Rome are within walking distance. The apartment itself is quiet and comfortable. And it got a real old fresco on the sealing! Thanks to Fabiana, she is wonderful!
The location is very good, not in too touristy area, but still walking distance to most of the tourist attractions especially Vatican. There is plenty of restaurants and grocery stores around.
Flat is nice, clean and exactly as it appears in the photos. It maybe lacks a bit of natural light as all the windows are towards inner court. This is probably just positive thing during the summer heat. There is a proper kitchen to cook in, but not a lot amenities if you are aiming cook a proper dinner. Also there is a proper heating in the flat, which is not always the case in Italy.
Fabiana was always quick to respond. Check-in was easy and Fabiana showed us around the apartment and explained all the things. There is also washing machine to wash clothes, which can come handy. We had short electricity cut during our stay, but Fabiana was there literally in minutes to fix it.
Upon meeting us, Fabiana suggested we take a look at her larger flat because, according to her, it would be more appropriate for an eight-day stay. She said the price would be the same. The flat is large, with two rooms and two bathrooms, and a fully-equipped kitchen. It's conveniently located two blocks from the Vatican Museum, a twenty-minute walk from Saint Peters Square, and four blocks from the Metro. There are two grocery stores within a five-minute walk. The apartment is located on the fourth floor and is very quiet. Wi-Fi access is very good. Our only regrets were that there were no English channels on TV, and the temperature control system is a bit hard to catch onto.
Fabiana offered excellent recommendations for restaurants nearby.
Finally, we are very pleased that airbnb refunded us for one night. We had to change our travel plans to leave Rome a day early, and the refund was no problem.
We highly recommend Bobo Vintage at Vatican Museum!
Bobo vintage- via Sebastiano Veniero is the dark, damp, full of dirt and hundred-year dust. There is a view to the musty yard. In the bathrooms, there you can see green and black mould, the 50 years old wasching machine. The warm watter runs just in case of enough presure...The apartment is in the third floor and there is a lift, but to the lift there is not enough place for the children's pram. In the time of our stay the concreting and asphalt works took place. The toilet paper was missing, we got just 4 towels for 3 persons for a week, without any alternate bedsheet. The inhabitants of the house hate turists. The owner of the apartment did not help with anything, bagatelised everything. After the increasing of the problems she did not come to our departure. All is shot by camera, solved with airbnb.
I had decided not to respond to this people....but then I thought it was better to do it....CONVERSATION ACCURATELY REFLECTED BETWEEN ME AND FAMILY RHIANEK:" Halo we have a problèm in your flat. All day is in hous very noisebecause inside house works mans and my child could not sleap it is from 7 am morning till now .why dont sai it. We felt at home! The flat is very nicely furnished, with an extraordinary ancient ceiling! :-) We loved the neighbourhood! An undercover carpark is around the corner, max. rate per day 20 euros, and a cheaper one near by the host Fabiana knows. Fabiana is an amazing woman. Although we just met for a couple of moments, i enjoyed it very much! She even answers late night requests!!! The metro station is close, small shops are open till late. A glimpse away from the vatican... what else to say than a must if you want to feel cosy in Rome!
Apartment is in 5 min walk from Vatican museums and probably 10-12 min from St Peter's square and basilica. Great location plus it is in a quiet building where you can rest well at night.
Apartment is nice, pretty spacious and has everything traveller need: two bathrooms, kitchen, refrigerator and washing machine, but keep in mind - no dryer. Outside of the building, just in couple meters from the entrance there are two supermarkets, which is a big plus.
The entrance lock is required some trick to be opened, so do not forget to ask Fabiana to show you how to open this lock.
Fabiana is very nice lady and great host. She helped us in every aspect we need, she even booked a taxy for us at 4 am and made sure that it comes on to time, which we greatly appreciated!
I am definitely recommend to stay at this apartment!
Thank you so much, Fabiana!
Rome is a wonderful city. So many places to see and explore so it is important to have a comfortable and relaxing place to stay and come back to after a long day sightseeing. And Fabiana's apartment is just that.
The apartment is in an ideal location. A quiet side street, close to shops, supermarket, amazing pizza cafes and icecream and the Vatican. And only a short walk from the metro (which links to the central train station, which is handy for the airport train) and about 25 min (interesting and enjoyable) walk from the old sights of Rome.
Fabiana is a great host, a very kind and thoughtful woman. She brought us items to eat for breakfast and was very flexible when we arrived later than planned.
The apartment is quiet, clean and spacious. And was perfect for spending time in. If you are coming to Rome and want an affordable, peaceful and well located flat then I recommend staying at Bobo Vintage.
Fabiana was a wonderful host. Very flexible with check-in and check-out times, helpful and always available by phone. Her appartment is very pretty and confortable, with everything we needed to our week in Rome (even a washing machine). The location was excelent, close to a metro station and to the Vatican city, a few minutes from Trastevere, with a market and plenty of nice restaurants just around the corner. Grazie por tutto, Fabiana!
Fabiana was a very good host. She did her best to manage a little pb with the air conditioning. Communication with her was easy as she always answered very fast. The flat was located in a very quiet area, 2mn walking from the entrance of Vatican Museums (to see the Sixtine Chapel) and 20mn walking from city centre. Little Carrefour shop next to the flat and 5mn walking from metro station. The flat was well furnished, clean and with a 2 bathroom including one inside the bedroom which is very convenient. We would recommend ot for a stay in Rome.
