Traditional flat in a calm and grown area. It´s in a 1918 small wooden house in a central area with beautiful unique houses. Very central in 'old town'. The flat offers basic facilities for a comfortable stay.

There is no wifi access in the flat

The space
This is a 2 room charming 56 m2 flat with kitchen, small bathroom with shower, living room and a bedroom. Guests have access to most of the flat (livingroom and bedroom). One small room is closed of as storage room. Otherwise the flat is only for the guests.

Perfect for people who like calm, authentic and simple lifestyle (-:
Strictly no parties and late night activities.

The flat is very practically organised with one living room with dining table, walk through kitchen with basic cooking facilities and a small bathroom with shower.
The flat is on the first floor and has a private entrance.

The sleeping room has a comfortable double bed (160x200).

All in all there is sleeping space for 2 persons (possibly plus one kid, could sleep on the sofa).

One night stay bookings are not guarantied but please ask and see if it is available.

The flat is situated 3 minutes away from down town Lækjartorg main square and just minute away from the city harbour Grandi with the new harbour area chafes, restaurants and shops.

The beautiful outdoor swimming pool Vesturbæjarlaug is 8 min walk away.

Pétursbúð is just next street, the small local grocery shop that is open every day of the week until late evenings. All food shopping is easy to approach down town.

Guest access
You will have free access to clean bedding and towels in the flat. Very good Woolroom bed (160x200cm).

Kitchen has basic facilities for very simple cooking with small 2 plates stove, good refrigerator, water boiler, coffee and tee.

There is a washing machine in the kitchen.

Sorry no WiFi in the flat. Good 4G/5G connection in the area for those who have international telephone connection on their phone.

The garden behind the house is private.

The photos are bit old and the flat has different furnitures today and the kitchen has been updated, but they still show the plan and the character of the flat.

Other things to note
This house is a traditional protected wooden house built in Reykjavik 1915. It has a lovely authentic personal atmosphere with artists living there. We have tried to keep close to the original style of the house yet we are slowly building up modern comforts.

It´s a modest small wooden house with 3 separate flats and mine is on the middle floor.

It´s good to know that these old wooden houses carry sound so if you are very sensitive to every day noise from kids and family upstairs or other tourists in the flat downstairs you have to think about it. Many people live like this in Reykjavík and I myself live comfortably in the flat. Also good to know there are adorable decent people living in the house.

Old part of town with grown gardens and beautiful houses.. very charming and calm neighbourhood. Perfect location in 101 centre of town in Vesturbær short to walk to the outdoor swimming pool and luxury grocery shops. Just step away to the old harbour Geirsgata and short walking distance to the coastline Ægisíða in Vesturbær. Really the best location in town and the street Ránargata is known to be a beautiful street in Reykjavík.
