  • My husband and I spent one night at Jean Francois's apartment in Montmartre and our only regret was that we could not stay longer. The location was ideal…close by cafes, restaurants and shopping on Rue des Abbesses yet tucked away on a quiet side street. The apartment itself was large, light-filled and very clean. Jean Francois was easy to reach via email and texts and prompt in his responses when we changed our arrival time. This would really be the perfect apartment to rent for an extended stay in Paris.

  • We only got to spend 3 nights in Paris, and what a great stay it was! This place was perfect for our family of four. There was plenty of room, and just a short walk to countless restaurants, shopping and attractions. The only down sides were (and my husband would disagree with me on this one) is that the bed in the bedroom was too hard. If you like a softer bed, sleep on the pull out sofa in the living room. Also, I recommend taking quick showers as the warm water doesn't last very long. Jean-Francois was super nice and everything was as promised.

  • We were met by Jean Francois as arranged by email. Everything was so easy to book through Airbnb. The beautiful apartment was everything we expected.
We had been to this part of Paris before so knew the walk from Gard du Nord would only take about 25 mins. I loved being in an authentic traditional Parisien apartment block and it was perfect for our very short visit.
I will certainly tell my friends where to stay whenever they visit Paris.

  • The apartment was a blast. In a very charming part of town, with everything you need close by. Fab place if you're a hipster. I loved having my own place in Montmatre, we were able to get every where we had to be, The Louvre (Lunch at Marley's), Arch de Triomphe and Champs Elysees, Rodin Musee, D'Orsay, Eiffel Tower etc. from the Blanch Metro station. The G20 supermarket carries everything you might need, Paul's has the best croissant around and good sandwiches too. Many restaurants and bistros walking distance. Delicious Rotisserie. Dali' Museum and Chez Plumeau at Place du Tertre near Sacre' Coeur, very cool, take the Little Montmatre Train. Don't miss the violinist Paul Rouger at Saint Chappell, you will thank me on this one. Then have dinner at Chez Paul, as seen in Midnight in Paris. Two other excellent restaurants are Fish Boissonerrie( spell check) on Rue Seine the owner is Juan Sanchez and Marie et Louise on Rue Marie et Louise, owner is Christophe.
You will feel very safe in this apt., the floors have their own alarm system, in a very charming Parisian kind of way. And a very hospitable and musical cat will always greet you in the courtyard. No trip to Paris is complete without a hot chocolate from Angelina's. Try to get a picture of a loved one without getting photo bombed by some dazed wondering tourist. And if you are a dazed wondering tourist try not to look like one, respect the French history, culture and tradition. Don't dress like if you're working in the garden, ugly jeans or shorts with flip flops or big ol' dirty sneakers to go see beautiful works of art and eat in fine restaurants.

  • I love Jean Francois! He was there when he said he would be, fixed an issue with the internet right away and was extremely courteous. He provided me with a charming apartment in Paris and I loved staying there.

  • I stayed at the lovely Constance's Friends for four nights in April 2014 and it was exactly what I needed. The flat is located in the Montmartre village between Pigalle and Blanche Metro stations. You walk two blocks and the flat is on the 2nd floor of a traditional Parisian apartment building (courtyards in between the buildings, a main door and then a courtyard door both opened with keys, and then the flat door itself). The neighborhood is busy and packed with bistros, cafes, boulangeries, patisseries as well many boutiques. Get yourself some rotisserie chicken at the Rotisserie du Roy - it is heavenly. Don't be put off by the seedier shops on Blvd de Cluny. The neighborhood is safe.

Jean-Francois met me at the flat, gave me a tour and reviewed the "rental manual" for how to use things and where to put the tray upon check-out, as well as answer any questions regarding the flat or Paris itself.

The flat is a one-bedroom, with the living room, dining area and kitchen all in one room but not crowded. There is a non-working fireplace in this room with a large window (as in photo) and the sofa folds out but I did not use that. The kitchen is stainless steel with fridge, hob, dishwasher, sink, good countertop space. Dining table for four, small sofa, TV and DVD. The floors are polished wood. Down the long hallway is the bedroom, which is bigger than the other room. A queen size bed that is rather hard but comfy, a desk and side tables, also a bureau for hanging clothes. There is a very large floor to ceiling French window that opens to the courtyard below. Bathroom is split between a tiny room with toilet and small sink, then across the hall the bigger sink, tub/shower and washing machine. Great water pressure in shower. Wireless throughout the flat but is stronger in bedroom. Door of flat is tricky to lock/unlock from outside (at least for me!). No noise at night, good light from the windows, good lighting from the lamps.
