Room with small desk, empty dresser, and closet space. Entertain with books on shelves or walk around the neighborhood.
A single bedroom near the fells reservation -- amazing access to nature so close to the city! Across the street from Wrights Pond, a simple walk to geese and reflections.
Close to I-93, a 15 to 20 minute drive to downtown Boston and access to public transportation into Boston, with the 100 bus and 325. Make a downtown interview or see a concert.
Hang out in the living room area and take a nap next to a fireplace.
There are 2 full bathrooms, take your pick.
We are a non-smoking residence with a cat.
We allow light cooking, with a stove top or microwave. We are also near Medford Square where there are some nice places to eat and freshly baked Donuts. There is a fridge to store food and also a washer and dryer.
There is an espresso maker or help yourself to tea bread and jam.
On-street parking available on Elm street.
Access to books, two full baths, free on street parking, coffee and tea, bread butter and jam, light cooking, and common space of a living room and dining table.
Interaction with Guests
We introduce ourselves and may have a little conversation, we answer any questions our guests may have and try to be accommodating.
Near the fells reservation, at the end of the street is an ice skating rink, across from weights pond.
We are located near the 100 bus and the 325 bus. The 325 goes to Haymarket Square downtown and the 100 goes to Wellington Station where the orange line is accessible.
If you are driving we are off 93 and ten minutes from downtown Boston. Driving is easier to connect to Davis square and medford square.
Other Things to Note
Please try not to close the cat in the room, as she needs her freedoms to roam around.

I stayed in Ava and Josh's place with my boyfriend for four nights. The apartment is very cozy: the room was clean and warm, the bed comfortable, the kitchen great! And they have a lovely cat. You can get to downtown easily in 40min with public transportation, so the location is not a problem. Ava and Josh are very helpful and kind. We really liked our stay!
The place was just as it was described. The place is clean, the bed is very comfortable, and the shower was nice and hot. It's a nice area but on a busy street which the owners told us about. We didn't see them very much but we weren't around that much either. All in all, it was a good experience and we may repeat if we need a place again.
We had a lovely stay here. The room was clean and spacious. Location is good with easy access into Boston. Although we didn't get to chat to Ava and Josh, they communicated regularly and were attentive to our needs. We fell in love with their adorable cat!
Overall, the stay was satisfactory. However, the images on the site showed a much cleaner, less messy, environment than what we encountered. I was hoping to stay in a place a little more cleaned up, generally. Also, the image shows the house from the back, as if the access was right on the street. However, one must climb up a quite steep series of steps (maybe 50 feet of steps?) to get to the front door - that was difficult to manage with luggage in the rain.
That said, the location was convenient to downtown Boston and the other guests were polite and quiet. The cat was all around that place, but that was listed in the ad, so we expected it. Last thing, in the three nights we stayed we never once saw the hosts. That wasn't exactly a problem, but when we would have liked to ask directions to Boston, or for more toilet paper, or for the trash can to be emptied, there was no one around.
All in all, an ok stay. Satisfactory, but not excellent.
Ava and Josh were lovely as were the rest of the guests. They kept to themselves but would reply promptly to emails if you had a query. The house is ideally suited to students rather than tourists to Boston as it was a little far from Downtown. Like the previous comment it can take up to 40 minutes if you miss the connecting 100 bus. Also the bus doesn't go all the way after 8.30pm Saturday and Sunday nights so if you stay out late it is a good 15 minute walk in the dark down to the street. Also if you don't drive you will need to get off at Salem Street stores and catch the next bus because the local store is very expensive for little things otherwise get things before you head back. There is only a Chinese/Thai in walking distance although it is very good.
the home of Ava and Josh is very nice, clean and in a nice neighborhood. We strongly recommend this house
