The Space

The apartment is located in a safe, quiet, yet very interesting, cozy neighborhood with nice cafes, restaurants and small specialty shops. One end of the street is facing the lakes in central Copenhagen. The area around the lakes is extensively used by the locals for walking and relaxing with family or friends. Here you will find benches and cafes if you want to just sit down and watch the swans and ducks. Furthermore, it is possible to buy coffee to take with you on your stroll around the lakes. The other end of the street is close to a cozy and beautiful park, where, in summer, various musical events take place.
The apartment is a short distance to many attractions in Copenhagen. Town Hall Square and Tivoli Gardens is a 10-minute walk away and so is the new inplace "Torvehallerne", where it is possible to buy or consume a lot of delicious specialties. From here a 2 minutes walk will take you to the pedestrian street “Købmagergade”, with shops and restaurants and at the end of this is "Stroeget"- another long pedestrian street with many shops, restaurants and departmental stores. The place “Nyhavn” next to the harbor and the sea can either be reached by walking (20 minutes) or by bus or Metro. From here you can walk along the beautiful seafront to the Little Mermaid.

The apartment is located between two stations (Vesterport and Nørreport). From Nørreport you can take the Metro directly to the airport, which takes approx. 15 minutes. Here you also find S-trains and regional trains. The central Station is approx. 15 minutes walk away. From here you find trains to all parts of Denmark and abroad.

The apartment is located on the top floor (5th floor - sorry, no lift) and is very bright and spacious. It contains a living room with flat screen cable TV, big corner sofa, armchair and coffee table, a dining room with table and chairs for 4 (can be increased to 12 people, extra chairs available on the back stairs), a large bedroom with a queen size double bed and cupboards. A smaller room with a futon, which when unfolded has the same size as a queen size double bed, a new kitchen with dishwasher and induction as well as everything else that is needed in a well-functioning kitchen and a new large bathroom with shower and washing machine.

The building is very well maintained and beautiful - from 1881. There is also a child-friendly enclosed back garden / courtyard to the property, which among other things has a playground, playing field, lawn and in summer furniture’s and barbecue possibilities.
A folding baby cot and a high chair can be provided.

  • We stayed at Lene’s apartment and felt 100 per cent at home. Lene is very helpful and reliable; quick to answer emails and arranging our stay. Arriving at our tourist destination it was great to find a beautiful, spacious, clean and comfortable second home with internet access. The location of the apartment is perfect: Although Turesensgade is a quiet street, trendy bars and restaurants are very close by. Also, the apartment is within about 10 minutes walking distance from the city centre. Thanks again Lina, we appreciated having a home away from home!

  • We had a great, week long, stay at Lene's apartment. It was comfortable and gave plenty of room for us and our two children. Lene was a great host, very quick to respond to our questions prior to the visit and made sure we knew where everything was when we arrived (including a cupboard full of toys for the kids).

It is a five floor hike up to the apartment and no lift but it was well worth it for the feel of being in the city but still having lots of light without the buildings crowding you in, it was also very peaceful at the top. Each room was very spacious with a big bathroom and kitchen.

Black out blinds would have been good for the kids but really that was the only thing we wanted for. I'd recommend it for families.

The location was really good. There are nice surrounding streets, a supermarket nearby, restaurants, coffee shops and the all important park at the end of the street if your 2 year old needs to chase some ducks. There is also a taxi rank at the end of the street. All-in-all a great base for a visit to the city.

Thanks again Lene, we'd certainly like to visit again.

  • Hej Lene,

Thanks for letting us stay in your fantastic apartment!

The apartment is in the middle of everything, so, a great place to be if one wants to enjoy a few, or more days in Copenhagen! Everything was easy-going [mayby except for the location of the aparmtent in the 5th floor w/o elevator, which took us a day or two to get used to ;-)] and very well prepared on our arrival: Lene made us really feel almost like home. Daily life supply is just down the stairs, the center of Copenhagen is in walking distance, public transport around the corner.
I can really recommend this place. Thanks again.

  • We stayed for a week at Lene's apartment and enjoyed every minute. It's bright, stylishly furnished and only a short walk from the centre of Copenhagen. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting the city with a group of friends as it's far cheaper and far nicer than staying in a hotel!

  • We had a fantastic time in Copenhagen! The apartment's location is perfect only 10 min by foot from the central station. Lene was a great host and so charming. We loved the apartment. Totally comfortable beds and we aswell fell in love with the soundsystem. It lets you play music in almost the whole place. A great fully equipped stylish kitchen and a great mediteranian bathroom. There's a grocery store around the corner and a river a forgot the name of. Thank you!

  • We, a family of four, had a fantastic stay at Lene's place. The location is great: nice café's and restaurants around the corner, the city centre on walking distance and if you want so see more: the bike rental shop is next door. The apartment is as bright and big as advertised, especially for a central location like this. You immediately sense the love and care that has gone into the decoration and renovation of this wonderful place.
Lene has been a great host, she gave us a good tour of the house and showed us how everything worked. There is a TV (who needs one when in Copenhagen?), there is a hi-ifi, there is wi-fi. A well-equipped kitchen makes cooking practical and fun. There's a small supermarket nearby for grocery shopping and even a play area for the kids on the inner courtyard.

We've felt very welcome and at home at Lene's place. If we'd had to live in Copenhagen, we could only hope for such a fantastic apartment as this one.
Our rating: five stars: four for the fantastic place and a golden fifth star for the host!

About
I am a 51 year old woman. I live in the center of copenhagen in a nice friendly neighborhood. I have two children age 26 and 23. Both living in their own place in the city. I am an OR-nurse and also work part time as a therapist. I have many friends I like to spend time with going to cafes, restaurants, plays etc. I like to travel, which I do quite often. Either with friends or my boyrfiend. I like to take care of myself which means that I eat healthy and do sports like running and biking at least 3 times a week. I am very lucky to have a nice and positiv life for which I am very greatful.
