Skyler is a very friendly host, and makes our stay very pleasant. He gave us lots of tips on the city and funny things to do. He is a very nice guy, and Snow Monster is a funny companion.
The location is great, 5min to the subway and the area is full of coffee shop, bars and so on. The room is fine for the price although it is loud during the night, but that was the only negative point :(
Skyler's place was very cool and clean. I was there for 9 days and felt totally comfortable. His cat snow monster is very cute. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone on a trip to nyc.
skyler is the man. honestly. my whole experience staying at his apartment was nothing but positive. the room was nice, and spacious and the location is one of the best around, literally a three minute walk from the station. skyler himself is a really cool dude. he provides a really relaxed atmosphere and is always approachable. on top of that, he will give you space and leave you be if that's what you want. I really don't have any complaints about staying here and will definitely be back on my next trip to the city. thanks for being a really great host, Sky. you and snow monster are legends!
This place was dope as hell. Though Skylor wasn't there, his sister was and she was great. The energy in the neighborhood was great and having bodegas, liquor stores, restaurants, and the train near was probably the most convenient thing ever. Oh, let's not forget Snow Monster. THE CAT IS ACTS LIKE A DOG AND WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE. All in all I loved my stay:)
Skyler was a great host, really chill and nice to talk to. The location is great, really near the station.
What a location! You're literally 5 minutes to the platform at Myrtle. There are several great cafes an music venues within 10 minutes walk.
The place itself is "not the Ritz," but it's fine (typical of the area) and Skyler was great. Recommended.
I had a fantastic time at Skyler's place. He was extremely welcoming (as was his cat, Snow Monster) accommodating. The apartment was as described, cold for my thin Arizona blood but perfectly suitable. Skyler had two space heaters that helped considerably. There was some noise because of the train just outside but I was prepared with some earplugs and having the train so close by was really convenient. The whole experience was great and I'd go back in a heartbeat.

About the Host, Skyler
I am an Actor living and working in NYC. I am into Punk Rock and Skateboarding.
I like to utilize the city for it's free amenities and am willing to show guests how to do the same. For example: if you have ice skates, you can skate Byrant park for FREE!, most museums have free days, Central Park has trails to explore. Flushing meadows is an adventure. 8mile walk, or 20min bus ride. the city has tons of skate parks and spots. super cheap boat tours and $13 all you can drink brunch not too far away.
I also enjoy cooking and regularly invite guests to dinner. or if you would rather do your own thing, that's fine also. I don't enter your space unless there is an invitation or an emergency, like its raining and the window is open.
