Have an awesome time in New York!
The place was exactly as described and the photos are very accurate. The staircase is a bit tight with luggage but that makes the surprise about the nice apartment even bigger! Jonathan and Leo both were super friendly and always at our service, when the heavy snow made the lights go off one day everything was fixed within the hour. The location is incredibly great and the metro station as well as several coffee shops are just around the corner. We were only 4 but the place can easily take in 6 people. We couldn't have wanted more, we definitely enjoyed our stay and we will stay with Jonathan again the next time we're in NY.
The best part of this apartment? Location. The subway entrance is just one block away, the area seems safe and there are plenty of coffee shops nearby.
We stayed here in January when it was really cold outside. Thanks to 4 heaters, the apartment was still very warm!
The apartment is perfect for 3 singles or 3 couples (=six persons). Since we stayed in New York for 7 nights, it was perfect to have an own (double sized!) bed to all of us 3 girls. I'm looking forward to staying at this apartment the next time I'll visit New York again!
The accommodation was as advertised. Great location beside subway station. Small but manageable for a non precious family of five. Clean warm and comfortable, with great beds.
GREAT LOCATION . Close to the subway, Times Square and everything you need. Leo was really nice with us and he helped us what we needed.
The place was smaller than I expected but it's exactly like in the pics and it's enough to spend some days in NY. I recommend this apartment! :D
The flat was great!!, near to a subway station, in a safe and a nice place of Manhattan, near to a farmacy, a coffee shop, restaurants and a grocery market. Really nice!!
Big Problems:plugged toilet, windows unlocked-unsafe!, lower comfort than described. Appartment too small for 6 persons!
It was unfortunate with all the “drama” Liliane experienced, that she only contacted me once during her stay. I don’t feel this is a fair representation of my apartment at all, especially since I’ve been part of the Airbnb community since 2010.
The apartment looks exactly like the photos and description in the listing and have accommodated groups ranging from 1 to 7 people without complaint. I am easily and readily available by phone or email if I’m not in the city (am currently in California) and value quick and open communication as I’ve been known for with my other guests.
Liliane only called about the toilet on this call and I proceeded to guide her through how to unclog the toilet with the plunger. Note: the toilet works perfectly and this was a self-inflicted clog by the guest. I followed up a few days later on the number she called me from, which was her friend’s phone number, who informed me that everything was ok.
We have updated the cleaning fee and it is now paid with the Airbnb reservation, not at check in. The cleaning fee is the fee we pay a cleaning company to come in after a guest leaves, not a daily or as requested maid service. We expect our guests to be more self sufficient than that and would recommend they stay at a hotel if this is the case. The fridge also works well and the window locks too.
I hope Liliane continues to use Airbnb and support the community, though I would warn fellow hosts to manage her expectations accordingly.
Janathon was great communicator and very helpful.
The staircase entrance was a little difficult but overall a great apartment
