Kirby's is a traditional Irish stone-built cottage set in green, tree-lined pastures in the South East of Ireland. It is one of three cottages in the grounds of 300 year old Fruit Hill House where Susan and Richard live with their family, and are on hand to help and advise about things to do and see in the area. Wexford, Waterford and Kilkenny are all within easy driving distance, as are the 14 sandy and unspoiled beaches of the Hook peninsula. The cottage is bright and airy, fully equipped to a high standard, and decorated with stylish simplicity.
Accommodation consists of one double bedroom with a 5 ft king size bed, and a pretty twin room; shower room; kitchen/living room.
Wifi signal available from the greenhouse. Electric storgage heaters, an open fire and well-stocked book shelves together with tv and dvd make for cosy evenings at any time of year.
Nearby is the award-winning restaurant, Aldridge Lodge, and there are shops and pubs a couple of miles away in Campile village. Nearest town is New Ross with its historic ship, the Dunbrody, the Ros tapestry, and from 2013 a fantastic new public swimming pool.
JF Kennedy Arboretum is a lovely park for a stroll with magnificent trees and views, and the Hook Lighthouse, Europe's oldest, is well worth a visit.
This is a welcoming place to stay, and a friendly and interesting part of the world to explore.

Susan and Dick are excellent hosts. They are nice, genuine, friendly people who went out of their way to make our stay easy and enjoyable. The cottage is cosy and comfortable - very relaxing and highly recommended.
I had a lovely stay, welcomed by lovely people.
This clean and cosy little cottage is the perfect spot to get around the country or just to relax in front of the fireplace.
The landlords will not only provide you fresh eggs from their hens or delicious and still warm scons and cakes, but will also give you precious advice and insider infos.
A must see!
We loved our stay at the farm cottage! We had booked this as a quiet retreat and it was perfect. From the cosy bed that you had to climb up stairs to get to, to the beautiful views and comfy living area with fireplace, it was great. You definitely need a car to stay here though, as there is nothing in walking distance. Susan and Richard were lovely hosts who provided us with ample privacy, yet were still willing to get to know us. Susan is a great baker and will give you some delicious treats! This is a great place to stay if you want to explore Hook lighthouse or some of the many arboretums and gardens nearby. Thanks Susan and Richard.
My girlfriend and I wanted to get away from the city for a few days and this was the perfect trip. We arrived to a lit fire and some delicious cake courtesy of Susan!
Susan and Rick were the perfect hosts, more than welcoming and helped us out in planning our days and telling us about all the best places to visit.
The cottage itself is great; very cosy and traditional, and the grounds around it are beautiful.
This is the perfect place for a relaxing get away, we couldn't have been happier!
This is a really lovely place with 5 acres of countryside to walk in. Really recomend it!
What an absolutely charming cottage and fantastic hosts. Susan and Richard are warm, helpful, and sweet. They made us feel like extended family. We would return here in a heartbeat and stay even longer next time.
