This pretty cottage is everything you could want for a relaxing break in friendly Co Wexford. An ideal base for touring the Sunny South East.

The space

Kirby's is a traditional Irish stone-built cottage set in green, tree-lined pastures in the South East of Ireland. It is one of three cottages in the grounds of 300 year old Fruit Hill House where Susan and Richard live with their family, and are on hand to help and advise about things to do and see in the area. Wexford, Waterford and Kilkenny are all within easy driving distance, as are the 14 sandy and unspoiled beaches of the Hook peninsula. The cottage is bright and airy, fully equipped to a high standard, and decorated with stylish simplicity.
Accommodation consists of one double bedroom with a 5 ft king size bed, and a pretty twin room; shower room; kitchen/living room.
Wifi signal available from the greenhouse. Electric storgage heaters, an open fire and well-stocked book shelves together with tv and dvd make for cosy evenings at any time of year.
Nearby is the award-winning restaurant, Aldridge Lodge, and there are shops and pubs a couple of miles away in Campile village. Nearest town is New Ross with its historic ship, the Dunbrody, the Ros tapestry, and from 2013 a fantastic new public swimming pool.
JF Kennedy Arboretum is a lovely park for a stroll with magnificent trees and views, and the Hook Lighthouse, Europe's oldest, is well worth a visit.
This is a welcoming place to stay, and a friendly and interesting part of the world to explore.

The deal with Susan went smoothly. On each of my messages she answered almost immediately. Since the Susan was absent when we came, we were welcomed by Elis and Jim. They welcomed us warmly. They were always ready for a joke and we are really enjoyed a pleasant conversation. Susan you are a perfect host and you have to be a model for the rest. Ana & Robert

This is a wonderful little country house. In a beautiful area of the countryside, through beautiful winding, tree-lined roads. It's in a great location to explore the surrounding areas of Waterford, Kilkenny, and the Hook Peninsula if you have a car. It was also very baby-friendly...Susan lent us her grandchildren's high chair, baby bath, and sleeping cot. The house itself was very comfortable. It has a cozy living room with a fireplace, two spacious bedrooms, and a shower in the bathroom. There are a lot of beautiful areas to walk around outside the house, especially in the crisp mornings with the fog laying in the fields. We loved it and would absolutely stay here again!

Fabulous location for exploring County Wexford, Hook peninsula and neighbouring counties. Set in beautiful countryside the cottage had everything we needed for a self catering break. We appreciated the extra touches provided by our host to make our stay comfortable.

This lovely cottage was a fantastic find! It is just off the beaten track so it is nice and quiet. We were able to get up at our leisure and find our way to beaches, sites and restaurants in a short time. Great value to stay in the sunny SE. Would definitely book here again.

This was such a relaxing time at Campile. If you're looking for a quiet place to read, walk, reflect, write or just relax, this is your place. It's comfortable and quaint. Be sure and check out the beautiful flower gardens in the neighborhood. Your'e on your own for meals, so don't forget to pack a few groceries before you get there. Fabulous country experience!
