In a nutshell: gorgeous bedroom and incredible bath in the Valencia corridor, the most happening San Fran neighborhood.
The building is a small beautiful Victorian. The lower unit is home to the famous Asta Yoga Studio (definitely worth trying!)
The place blends the charm of Victorian interiors with the energy of bright colors and a gigantic, inspiring artist loft space. It has gorgeous, newly-remodeled kitchen and bathroom, a one-of-a-kind artist loft, a spa-like bathroom, a private and sunny deck, a large living space, two spacious bedrooms, and high-speed internet access. Four-side exposure give it magnificent light throughout the day. The colorful design, eclectic art and eco-burning fireplace make it a perfect hangout.
Your bedroom has a new queen size bed with a new mattress and new linens, a huge closet, an antique desk (bonheur du jour), and a romantic fainting couch. Your newly-remodeled bathroom has a bathtub and a tropical showerhead. You're welcome to use the rest of the huge place: relax in the living room, host a 25-person cocktail in the artist loft, or enjoy a glass of wine on the deck.

Pretty simple: this is as central and trendy as it gets. The Valencia corridor is a fun and lively neighborhood with some of the best cuisine and culture the city has to offer.
Within walking distance, you’ll find excellent restaurants, gourmet coffee shops, parks, and trendy bars and nightlife:
* Around the corner are Four Barrel Coffee, Pauline's Pizza, Mission Beach Cafe
* 3 short blocks away are Limon Rotisserie, Monk's Kettle, Armory Club, Whole Foods and Zuni Cafe
* 5 short blocks away are Tacolicious, Delfina, Tartine Bakery, and Bi Rite Market
* The list goes on, and seems to grow daily...
* It's a 5-min walk to Dolores Park (maybe the best park in the city)
It's super easy to get around town:
* You’re 1-3 short blocks from public transportation, including BART, MUNI and many of the major bus lines for easy access to SFO, Union Square, Moscone Center, the Castro, Market Street, the Ferry Building, AT&T Park, everywhere!
* It's a fantastic neighborhood for bicycling, with dedicated bike lanes on both Valencia Street and 17th St.
* Parking can be difficult. (There is a parking garage around the corner, ~$20/day.) Unlike most San Fran neighborhoods, there are cabs everywhere.

I had a fantastic stay in the listing. Due to a VERY busy visit to SF with work, I didn't get to interact much with Sophie-Charlotte during my stay. When I did, she was always welcoming and helpful and felt totally at home. The pictures (although amazing) of the listing possibly don't do it justice..it is just fantastic! The decor is quirky and so thoughtfully put together. The location of the listing is absolutely perfect. There are so many really cool restaurants, cafes and bars in the area. It is possibly my favourite area in SF. Thanks Sophie-Charlotte for hosting me!
Sophie-Charlotte has this charming place in the center of Mission. The decor of the house is incredible and I can see great cocktail parties host in here. Sophie is a fantastic host. You need to share the living space and bathroom with another long-term tenant.
I arrived when Sophie was traveling and not able to show me around, so it took me some time to get used to the house. Also, you can literally hear everything happen upstairs and outside on the street if you are as sensitive to noise as me.
This place is gorgeous! Very high-end furnishings and decor. The bedroom and bathroom both open directly into the open living room/kitchen area, so if you're looking for some privacy this may not be the place for you as you have to cross through the main living area to get from the room to the bathroom or out the door. I think there are two other people living in the apartment other than Sophie-Charlotte, but I don't know if they are always there. The bathroom is shared with at least one of the other tenants.
The washer and dryer had just broken when I arrived, but there was a nice laundromat across the street, so it wasn't a problem.
The location is perfect! Very nice street in a great neighborhood, with great accessibility to a lot of popular areas of the city!
Stay at Sophia's place was great. I've stayed here for 3 weeks and felt like at home. It's greatly located and Sophia was a nice and responsive host. I would recommend it to anyone.
Sophie-Charlotte's apartment is lovely. It's extremely spacious, light, airy and homely. Initially arriving on the 'BART' at 16th Mission, you walk out into a very busy area with a huge amount of 'activity' on the street. However, walking just a few blocks to the Apartment, the atmosphere changes to a calmer environment.
14th street is reasonably busy, but then, this is San Francisco so you should expect a bit of city 'bustle!'
Downstairs is the Asta Yoga Studio - they are the best neighbours! Take class with them, they're a phenomenally friendly group.
Sophie-Charlotte was kind enough to leave us to our own devices so it was nice to feel like we had a home from home. However, if we needed anything she was generally available to help out.
All in all, for mine and my girlfriends' first visit to San Francisco we chose well and we want to revisit.
Thank you Sophie ;)

I started hosting Airbnb guests quite some time ago and found it really fun. I promise to do my best to give you a fantastic time!
I've lived in San Francisco for more than 10 years. I'm social, have many friends here and like to have them over for dinner and parties. For fun, I do lots of martial arts, play chess and dance tango. I'm pretty adventurous and very well traveled. Originally, I'm from Paris, France.
I just sold my start-up and after taking some time off, I'm about to start something new. So, I'm really excited to meet new people, maybe you?
