Allow me to explain why I gave this cute little pad four stars rather than five. First, this is a wonderful little apt, and Olivia had everything in place to make it a lovely stay... Everything was great, including the bed, the kitchen appliances, and the atmosphere. BUT, we had two problems that made us depart before our stay was completed:
-- not her fault at all was a heat wave that rarely hits this area! The apt had no air conditioning -- unbearably hot!!! To make it worse,
-- the apt is on the ground floor and due to no screens and insects coming in, we could not open windows, except in the kitchen for very short periods. It was HOT, HOT, HOT!!
If it were not for that, the apt was absolutely wonderful, clean, a great location! Just don't go near this place in the summer.
What a great location! Walk to restaurants, shops, bars. Olivia was a wonderful host.
Terrific apartment in great location! Olivia is very sweet and friendly; communicates quickly and thoroughly. Her place is super clean and full kitchen great for breakfasts or other meals. Olivia's place is close to several good restaurants we walked to: Bent Brick [gourmet, house made sausages], Cafe Nell's [awesome burger], Soratta's [delicious Italian. Try the wild boar pizza for lunch if on the menu]. Easy access to trolley and downtown. Only downside: you are right next to the front entrance the door bangs quite loudly every time someone goes in and out. Our 2.5 year-old daughter slept through it, naps and all night, but if you are a light sleeper be aware. Otherwise, we were very comfortable in this apartment and had a wonderful time in Portland! Would highly recommend staying here.
cute apt, great location!
Our stay was excellent! Olivia was a fantastic host, the condo was fabulous and we had a great time. I would reccomend to anyone.
