Cosy little flat, very near to the Canal Saint Martin and only about 7 minutes walk from République (transport hub). Fully equipped, it is a comfortable option for a visit in Paris. Lots of trendy restaurants right around the corner.
Cute little flat in old parisian building. If you are looking for comfort, cosiness and practicality, this is your choice. If you are looking for Parisian views, this is not for you. Quiet and peaceful, since it is in the inner courtyard, and easily accessible (first door up flight of stairs)
It is a small flat but it was built thinking it was big. So you have all the Parisian charm (fireplaces, moldings, etc) condensed in 25m. You have a living room, separate double room, kitchen and a tiny functional bathroom. Ideal for a couple.
Fully equipped with all you need for a comfortable stay in Paris (see lists at the end of description)
The building is being refurbished at the moment (since the beginning of May), so it will be nice and clean in a few months but in the meantime, there is some painting and scrubbing going on during the week.
The flat is located just a 5 minute walk from Canal St.Martin, plenty of trendy restaurants just around the corner! At 4 minutes to Goncourt Metro Station (just 5 stops to city center - Pompidou Museum, etc) and 8 minutes walk to the transport hub in Republique (4 metro lines). So, all in all a great location.
4 minutes walk from Metro Goncourt (line 11)
8 minutes walk from Metro République (lines 5, 8, 9 and 11)
From Airports by train, get off at Gare du Nord. Switch to Line 5 (get off at République) or take a taxi (about 5 minutes ride, it shoudl cost around 10 euros)
Bus number 75 takes you straight to City Center.

Interaction with Guests
I welcome guests to the flat, show them around, tell them about the area and tips about restaurants and transport. I make myself available during their stay, via phone or email for any question concerning their stay.
The area is great. Very near to the Canal Saint Martin, a meeting point for young people, whos specially in the summer just sit along the canal, having wine and cheese. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, bars, supermarkets, just around the corner. The street however is very calm and well lit up at night.
You have a metro station just up the road (line 11) that gets you straight to city center in just 3-4 stops (about 5 min to Hotel de Ville) You can also walk to Republique (around 5-7 min) where you have 5 different metro lines, buses, etc.
Leave it the way you found it :) Clean and tidy.
Try and keep the door to the bathroom open while out of the flat (specially after showering) and remember to take the rubbish down at the end of your stay. There is a trash can, just downstairs in the inner patio.
The flat is very nice and has everything you need for long OR short stay in paris. The neighbourhood was for us a pleasant surprise. A new paris. Also the tips from Emma were great.
Emma was a great host and the apt. was exactly as advertised. It is a great location.
Emma was a responsive and helpful host, the place is small and cozy, like described in other reviews. About a 10 min walk from the metro stop la Republique, so reasonably well-located.
I had a great stay at Emma's apartment. At the end of a business trip it was great to have a couple of days in Emma's apartment to rest and recover. Emma's apartment is in a great location, with great access to local restaurants, bars and cafes. It had all the modern comforts and all you could ask for and was great to relax and unwind in. Most of all, it was very quiet, which isn't always the case in Paris.
Emma was a great host who met me at the apartment and made sure that the check-in was smooth and easy.
I had a great time at Emma's apartment and would love to come back again! Merci Emma.
Emma's flat is in a perfect location, close to 2 metro stations that make commuting anywhere really convenient. The flat was exactly as described in the listing, clean and cozy. Emma was really helpful too - she responded to every message within minutes and was very accommodating even though we got lost finding the flat and checked in a lot later than expected.
Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet flat close to cafes, restaurants, and metro stations!
I'm half spanish (catalan) and half british. I grew up in Spain (Barcelona) and now live in Paris. I love travelling, and when holidays are far, long weekends around europe are a must! I also love hosting people in my lovely little flat.
