I would recommend this apartment to any visitor to NYC. You are lucky if you stay in Kathy's home. It is a corner apartment so it is light and airy. It is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The bed is a king (I think) and very comfortable with nice linen. The kitchen is well stocked. There is good wi-fi and TV. This apartment is a ground floor apartment which we really liked but it is still private and secure. The view is spectacular (and a real plus for us) as it looks out onto the Hudson River and across to Jersey, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. The scene was constantly changing with many boats, spectacular sunsets and changing weather conditions. The apartment is in an attractive apartment block with spacious entrance. The doormen were helpful and it was good being able to use the gym and laundry. There is a modern well stocked convenience store across the road and a small supermarket and cafe serving good coffee and food within 500 metres of the apartment. We found it an easy walk to the subway and easy to hail a cab from the front of the apartment block. There is not a lot of night life in the immediate area but we liked that as we appreciated the peacefulness. However, it is not far from the cinema complex and many restaurants in TriBeCa and the restaurants along the Hudson River in Battery Park. Kathy was easy to communicate with. We met her briefly at the start of our stay when she showed us how everything worked. We did not have to contact her during our stay. We would stay here again.
This is absolutely awesome place to stay in NYC! I have been many times in NYC but I have never thought that right in the center of Manhattan there is (email hidden) with stunning view on Hudson surrounded by green trees. Since the apartment is on the first floor you feel like you live in your house in the woods on a lake. At the same time WFC, Wall street, Broadway and subway are only in 10 minutes walk. Grocery stores and nice restaurants are even closer.
Our host Kathleen was also exceptional. She made everything so that our stay was comfortable, safe and memorable.
