The house is located on the Coogee/Randwick border - so offers the best of both suburbs. Coogee Beach and coastal swimming pools are a walk or bike ride away. Centennial park is also close by. The Spot is 5 minutes up the road - a lovely area with a fabulous Art Deco Cinema which always has a good film or 5 showing. There are also little restaurants in this area and outdoor dining. Lots of great cafes, restaurants, shops and supermarkets nearby. I am also close to University of NSW, Randwick Hospitals and Randwick Racecourse.
An excellent bus service runs regularly a few minutes walk away in each direction.
Prefer non-smokers. Absolutely no smoking in the house.
All day street parking is available (no fee) - but can be hard to find a park close by Monday - Friday (though lots of parking down the street).
Please note: Free wireless is available for your use during your stay - but you will have to provide your own computer or device. (This is for normal useage and not downloading large file sizes.)
FYI - there are a number of internet cafes nearby, on Coogee Bay Rd or Randwick shopping centre - these also have printing facilities.

I had a lovely stay at Chantal’s home located in a peaceful area, and with easy walking distances for my needs. Everything went very smoothly throughout my stay starting with helpful hints prior to my arrival, continuing with warm welcoming, e.g. inviting for family Easter lunch, and so forth. Chantal’s home is a clean house with full of light, and with beautiful details to savor. My room had a direct access to balcony; and Chantal provided all the details needed such as visiting neighborhood or how to find things in the kitchen if I wanted to cook my meals, for instance. I loved my relaxed breakfasts at the living room enjoying bright morning sun, view, and birds singing outside. Furthermore, Chantal is a very interesting person to meet, and discuss with; and I really would like to thank for the opportunity to get to know her a little through airbnb. Thanks to Chantal for making my first airbnb stay into such a wonderful experience! And yes: I do highly recommend her place!
Chantal could not have been a more welcoming and attentive host. She is a kind and generous person, interesting and intelligent too. We would recommend her to anyone staying in Sydney- a great spot very near to The Spot and all its restaurants and shops. Also near Coogee beach which is great. We loved our stay in her lovely home.
Chantal's home is absolutely lovely and I must say that her spacious living room is my favourite place to just sit down, sip some tea, and read a book! Could not have picked a better 1st airbnb experience; I actually spent the entire week just exploring the Randwick/Coogee area given its perfect location - quiet street and yet in walking distance to the shops and beach. Chantal's a really genuine and friendly host, who's always keen to hold a conversation and get to know you. Her naturally bright home reflects her sunny disposition!
Chantal was the most welcoming and friendly host imaginable, her house is lovely, a real 'historic house' light and airy, beautifully appointed and with excellent facilities. We were made extremely welcome and everything we needed was provided. The area is great, good local facilities easy access to both leisure and city centre activities. Highly recommended and I hope we will be able to get back sometime.
This was the first time I have used Air BnB. I had a wonderful stay with Chantal. The house is exactly as it looks in the description and pictures, there were no disappointments. The house is within walking distance to the beach, restaurants and other amenities. It is also close to the bus stop.
Chantal is warm and welcoming. I would certainly recommend staying with her.
I enjoyed staying at Historic House much more than the hotel I stayed at later. Air BnB is also a lot cheaper than staying in a hotel and you get so much more value out of your stay. I encourage newbies to give it a try.
Chantal has been an amazing host. She has been incredibly flexible and accommodating for all the bumps in the road I've incurred. Her house is beautiful and in an excellent location for shops and dining. I would recommend her to everyone I know. I'm going to miss waking up to see the view from the balcony and spending my morning with Lala.
My parents stayed here whilst they were visiting their new Grandson. They loved their time here as they felt like it was a home away from home, Chantal made them feel very welcome.
The location was great as it wasn't far from the shops or my place and if they had any questions about places to visit around Sydney, Chantal was very informative and helpful.
The house is also in a nice and quiet spot, away from the busy roads, and my parents would recommend her home as a place to stay to anyone.
Creative professional.I love walking & swims in the morning. Well travelled, love of learning and meeting new people. I'm lucky to live in such a great part of Sydney - it's fabulous to live near the coast and beaches but also be close to the inner city.
The photos of the party - are the air bnb Sydney party - Cockatoo Island - the bloke with me in sunglasses is airbnb founder, Brian!
I lead a busy life, but of course happy to suggest & chat about the great things to do during your stay, typically my guests are fairly independent.
