Central Station, the Dam Square, the famous canals, museums ‘t Schip, great restaurants, and other cultural attractions are at walking/biking distance. You are less than 2 minutes’ walk from the Westerpark. The Westerpark area derives its name from the modern park, where there's always something going on. Head to Westerpark and you'll find trendy cafés, charming eateries, cutting-edge galleries, a cinema and an avant garde club!
About the Westerpark
There's always plenty to do at Westerpark, the site of the city's former gasworks. Go to De Bakkerswinkel for breakfast, high tea or a sandwich with traditional bread in relaxed surroundings. A little further on you'll find Pacific Parc, where you can eat, drink and dance from morning till late. Savour Algerian dishes at nomadic restaurant Rainarai with its terrace on the quayside. Another popular terrace is that at WestergasTerras with its cascading pond, the eatery also boasts a cosy interior with fireplace for when the sun goes down. Make a day of it and take in a film at Het Ketelhuis, a unique cinema primarily showing Dutch (but also English) films.
A little further on past Culture Park Westergasfabriek, on the Watertorenplein, is Cafe-Restaurant Amsterdam in a cavernous engine room from 1900. An unusual place serving tasty and inexpensive food.

It was great. Thank you Marc.
We had a great stay at the apartment.
Marc met us on our arrival and gave us plenty of advice on things to do and the area.
The apartment is really well furnished and in a nice neighbourhood slightly away from the tourist beet.
We had a very good time in Amsterdam. Marc is a really friendly guy and his appartement was very nice, absolutely clean and there was everything we needed.
Thanks for all Marc, hope to see you again.
This was a very good apartment for us, very clean, comfortable and quiet. Marc could not have been more helpful, very good instructions on how to find it and lots of good (website hidden) was within reasonable walking distance of the western canal ring and Jordaan and, once we got to grips with how to use them, had a good bus link to the central station and tram system.
Marcs apartment was just great. It was really easy to go to city center by bus and the neigbourhood was friendly :). Marc was really helpfull and made sure that everything was on order when we got there. Would recommed to anyone.
The location of Marc's apartment is within walking distance to the canal ring and easy access to public transport that takes you to places of interest in Amsterdam.
The apartment is cosy, clean and well furnished. Marc being a great host is icing on the cake!
Great, cozy, quite and stylish apt in short walking distance to public transport that brought us within 7 min to the centre of Amsterdam. The perfect spot to explore the city. Marc is an awesome host. 5 Stars.
Excellent solution if you want to have a cosy landing point for a few days in Amsterdam!
Conveniently located in the North-western part of the town (10 mn from Central station), quiet, ideally equipped for 3 people...
The apartment was very nice and had everything we needed. It was a great place to hang out after a long day of exploring the city. Marc was very helpful and showed us the apartments quirks and left us transportation cards.
