After a 3 year hiatus we're back with an updated & refurbished guest suite! Located in the sunny Western Bay of Plenty with beautiful bush walks, cycle trails, native bird life, pristine beaches, just 15 mins from Waihi Beach & 45 mins to Tauranga. With stunning views (any time of year) & close-by access down to the water, you can be assured of a restful stay, & in 10-15 mins access shops & eateries. The suite has a separate bedroom & ensuite, lounge with basic kitchenette, private deck & BBQ.

The space
Approximately a 2 hour drive from Auckland International Airport (depending on traffic), is our recently renovated and tastefully decorated private guest suite. Flat screen TV with Chrome Cast, which means, with unlimited free WiFi, you can watch Netflix, You Tube etc to your hearts' content! You have your own outdoor deck area with bbq, and our garden has a lovely area up behind our home with a shady pergola, which you are welcome to enjoy. The guest suite is modern and convenient with a basic kitchenette - bench with sink, small fridge, microwave, toaster and tea and coffee making facilities. All linen and basic toiletries are provided. We hope you'll relax and soak up the beauty of this stunning place, and enjoy the natural environment with a bush walk or explore the sand flats at low tide.
Note: Not suited to families with young children as we are beside a road with no fencing.

Guest access
The Guest Suite is annexed to our home and we have endeavoured to ensure privacy by a dead-lock solid door and sound-proofing. Guests have private access to their accommodation which consists of 3 rooms - bedroom with queen sized bed, en suite, and a living room with kitchenette and top quality queen sized sofa bed. Please note, there are 3 stairs from living area up to bedroom and ensuite. See last photo.

Karangahake Gorge with historic Gold-mining area - includes beautiful bush walks and cycleway, and historic steam train ride
Beaches - Waihi Beach 10-15 mins drive, and Mount Maunganui Beach 50 mins drive
Hot Pools - Athenree and Katikati - each 15 mins drive, and Mt Maunganui Hot Pools 50 mins
Hobbiton (Lord of The Rings movie set) - approx 1 hour 20 mins drive
Rotorua (cultural and geo-thermal attractions, etc) approx 1 hour 30 mins drive

We are social people and love to travel - especially if it means spending time with our daughters who both live overseas. Our home country, New Zealand, is paradise and so of course we enjoy showing it off to others (we have co-hosted 2 small international tour groups which we enjoyed). I, Jill, am an Interior Designer, Neil is a House Painter. We are creative types and have enjoyed expressing that in our home and large semi sub-tropical garden.
